Updated Chip Counts

As we approach the end of Level 4:

Marc Naalden -- 810,000
Millie Shiu -- 790,000
Greg Mueller -- 750,000
Flaminio Malaguti -- 400,000
Matt Sterling -- 365,000
David Williams -- 228,000
Joep Van Den Bijgaart -- 115,000

Williams Gets a Few Back

David Williams just got a little back from Joep Van Den Bijgaart. After a flop of {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Williams checked, Van Den Bijgaart bet, Williams check-raised, and Van Den Bijgaart called. The turn was the {6-Clubs}. Williams bet, and Van Den Bijgaart called.

The river brought the {A-Hearts} and a check from both players. Williams showed {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}, and Van Den Bijgaart mucked.

Both players are well below average at the moment. Williams is at 315,000 right now, while Van Den Bijgaart has tumbled below the 200,000-chip mark.

Mueller Gets There

David Williams raised from middle position, and both Greg "FBT" Mueller (small blind) and Marc Naalden (big blind) called. The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. It checked to Williams who bet, Mueller then check-raised, Naalden folded, and Williams called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Mueller bet, and Williams called. Williams likewise called Mueller's bet after the river card came {J-Clubs}.

Mueller showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} -- jacks on the end -- and Williams mucked.

Treys Mean Triple Up for Malaguti

Down to his last 60,000, Flaminio Malaguti raised from the button, David Williams reraised from the small blind, Millie Shiu called from the BB, and Malaguti also called.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Williams checked, Shiu bet, Maluguti called with his last chips, and Williams called. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and this time Williams folded to Shiu's bet.

Shiu turned over {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, but she uttered "come on!" when Malaguti turned over {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} -- he'd flopped the set, then filled up with that second king. The river bricked out for Shiu, and Malaguti triples back to just under 200,000.

Shiu is still battling Greg Mueller for the chip lead with about 750,000.

Joep 'Eights' The River

Greg Mueller raised in second position and Joep Van Den Bijgaart called in the big blind. The flop was {K-Clubs} {10-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and Joep check-called a bet from Mueller.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} turn and then Van Den Bijgaart bet the {8-Diamonds} river. Mueller raised and Van Den Bijgaart (who is becoming Crtl+V on my keyboard) made the call.

Mueller showed {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and Van Den Bijgaart sighed, Mueller said, "You checked the turn..."

Joep Goes Up

Joep Van Den Bijgaart raised preflop from the small blind and Matt Sterling made the call. Van Den Bijgaart bet the {5-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop, the {K-Diamonds} turn and the {Q-Spades} river.

Sterling folds on the river to much delight from the Dutch.

Malaguti Doubles

Flaminio Malaguti has doubled after he moved all in on the river of a {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} board with {7-Clubs} {5-Clubs} having been looked up by Greg Mueller's {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}.

Malaguti has recovered to 200,000. Mueller is down to 550,000.

This Is My (Full) House

Flaminio Malaguti and David Williams -- sitting on either side of the dealer -- have been butting heads frequently throughout this level. We just now saw yet another hand involving the pair.

After a flop of {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Malaguti checked, Williams bet, and Malaguti called. Malaguti again check-called both the {8-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river.

Williams showed {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for tens full, and Malaguti mucked. Malaguti is at 170,000, while Williams bounces back to 400,000.

Button Bets from Bijgaart

Joep Van Den Bijgaart
Joep Van Den Bijgaart
David Williams raised from the hijack seat, Joep Van Den Bijgaart three-bet from the button, and Williams called. The flop came {3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Williams checked, Van Den Bijgaart bet, and Williams called. The turn was the {K-Hearts}, and again Williams check-called Van Den Bijgaart.

The river was the {7-Spades}. Williams checked, Van Den Bijgaart bet again, and this time Williams let it go.

Williams is down to 340,000, while Van Den Bijgaart is at about 415,000.
