Hand #30 - Billy "The Croc" Argyros

Peter Jetten has the button in Seat 3. Marty Smyth limps in, as does Jetten. Michael Mizrachi completes the small blind, and Billy "The Croc" Argyros checks in the big blind. Everyone checks the {9-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} flop. The turn comes {Q-Spades}, bringing a bet of 55,000 from Mizrachi. Argyros thinks briefly, then calls. Everyone else folds; we are heads up to a river of {J-Spades}. Mizrachi bets again, this time 50,000. Argyros makes a curious just-call with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Clubs} for queens full of jacks. Mizrachi never shows, choosing to muck instead.

Hand #29 - Peter Jetten

Brandon Moran has the button in Seat 2. Blly The Croc limps in from under the gun. Everyone else folds around to the blinds, who both come along to the flop.

The three-handed flop comes {4-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs}. The blinds check, and The Croc bets 125,000. Peter Jetten is the lone caller from the small blind seat.

The turn is the {7-Spades}, and both players check.

River: {8-Clubs}. Jetten bets out small, 60,000. This sends The Croc into the tank, mumbling to himself and trying to catch some information from his opponent. He finally does make a seemingly-reluctant call.

Jetten turns over {A-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}. The Croc studies his cards for another few seconds before tossing them into the muck.

This hand marks just the second showdown so far today. The first came when Greg Hurst was all-in way back on the eighth hand of play.

Hand #25 - Marty Smyth

Tom Hanlon has the button in Seat 7. Michael Mizrachi makes a raise to 63,000. Action comes to Marty Smyth in the small blind. He reraises the full pot for a total of 219,000. Everyone in between folds, and Mizrachi cuts out calling chips before mucking his hand.

Hand #24 - Tom Hanlon

Billy "The Croc" Argyros has the button in Seat 5. Everyone folds to Tom Hanlon in the small blind. He completes, and Marty Smyth checks. Both players check the {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} flop. Hanlon bets 40,000 when the {K-Spades} hits the turn, folding Smyth and winning the pot.

Crocodile Hunter

They call him Billy "The Croc" Argyros. Looking at the collection of tchotchkes he has with him at today's final table, it's easy to see why. On the rail by his left elbow, Argyros has placed two stuffed animal crocodiles (one a pea green, the other a lush green) and a small rubber crocodile. A miniature crocodile figurine and a crystal crocodile sit atop his chip stack, and Argyros' head is covered by a green cap sewn to look like a crocodile head, complete with gaping maw.

Hand #23 - Peter Jetten

Michael Mizrachi has the button in Seat 4. Peter Jetten raises to 90,000 from the cutoff. Tom Hanlon is the lone caller, from the big blind.

The two men see the flop roll out {2-Spades} {3-Clubs} {A-Hearts}. Hanlon checks and Jetten continues out with a bet of 120,000. After a minute or two, Hanlon folds.

Hand #22 - Peter Jetten

Peter Jetten has the button in Seat 3. Brandon Moran opens the pot from the cutoff to 90,000. Jetten is the only caller. The flop comes down {K-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts}, bringing a quick check from Moran. Jetten checks behind, and on the turn we see the {10-Hearts}, a card that puts a second flush draw on board and pairs the board. Moran checks again, but Jetten does not. He opts to bet 175,000. That's enough to win the pot when Moran folds.
