The players are taking their seats, the crowd has filed in, and we're probably a few minutes away from the start. We'll play the last 1:34 of Level 19 (6,000/12,000/1,000) from last night, then move to Level 20.
It's a few minutes past three but only four of the players are actually at the table and the crowd hasn't yet been allowed in. So it's going to be a few minutes before we get underway.
Our chip leader entering play today, Michael Banducci hails from Traverse City, Michigan. This is his second World Series final table (he finished fifth in last year's $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event) and his eighth WSOP cash. In November, Banducci finished sixth in the WSOP Circuit event held at Lake Tahoe.
This is Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar's first World Series final table. The Las Vegas resident has two previous WSOP cashes to his name and last November placed 17th at the WPT's World Poker Finals held at Foxwoods.
In 2007, Michael Binger cashed in eight World Series of Poker events, tying the record held by Humberto Brenes and Phil Hellmuth. This followed his 3rd-place finish in the 2006 WSOP Main Event, which was good for a $4,123,310 payday. Now living in Las Vegas, Binger holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford University, where his research focused on such topics as quantum chromodynamics, supersymmetry, and the Higgs boson. You will not confuse him by throwing out phrases like "flop texture." He has the second-shortest stack coming into play today.
Steve "gboro780" Gross has the unhappy honor of holding the shortest stack entering today's final table. The Marlboro, New Jersey, resident has over $275,000 in online earnings to his credit. His first-ever World Series cash is also his first appearance at a World Series of Poker final table.
Jamie "TheCronic420" Rosen has also made it all the way to the final table after posting his first WSOP cash. The Boca Raton, Florida, resident has over $160,000 in career online earnings.
Jeff "yellowsub86" Williams, the youngest player at today's final table, hails from Dunwoody, Georgia. He is best known for winning the European Poker Tour's Grand Final in Monte Carlo when he was only 19, a win good for $1,179,558. He also has a fourth-place finish at the WPT Five-Star World Classic Poker Classic.
