Un Chapeau Pour Le Monsieur

Alan Jaffray, fashion plate
Alan Jaffray, fashion plate
We simply must comment on the fabulous hat Alan Jaffray is wearing at the table. We could be generous and call it a fedora, but you didn't see Philip Marlowe wearing a hat with a flower and a spray of lace on it.

Still, you gotta admit, it works for him.

Hand #22-- Lyric Duveyoung

Lyric Duveyoung raised to 44,000 under the gun and Jeff Williams reraised to 115,000 from the button. It was folded back to Duveyoung who turned his gaze on Williams this time. Whatever he saw was to his liking because Duveyoung moved all in and again got his opponent to fold.

Hand #21-- Lyric Duveyoung

Lyric Duveyoung opened for 40,000 and Michael Banducci reraised to 110,000. Everyone got out of the way and Duveyoung stared Banducci down for several minutes before moving all in for 986,000. That bet induced a fold from Banducci.

Hand #20-- Jonathan Aguiar

Peter Gould limped from UTG+1 and Jonathan Aguiar raised to 60,000 from the small blind. Jeff Williams folded in the big blind and Gould called.

The flop came {9-Hearts} {A-Spades} {8-Spades} and both players checked. The {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn and John bet 110,000. Gould laced his fingers together and brooded a bit, laying it down.

Hand #19-- Peter Gould

It was folded around to Peter Gould one off the button, and he raised to 52,000. Lyric Duveyoung folded, as did Michael Banducci, and Jonathan Aguiar in the big blind sat for a few long seconds before mucking as well.

Hand #18-- Lyric Duveyoung

It was folded around to Alan Jaffray, who raised to 42,000. Peter Gould folded on the button and in the small blind Lyric Duveyoung put a chip on his cards before counting out enough chips to raise to 130,000. Jaffray mucked and Duveyoung took the pot.
