The Dragon Has Been Slayed

David 'The Dragon' Pham has gone home after calling a preflop raise with {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. His opponent tabled {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and the race was on.

The flop nearly slammed the door shut on Pham's tournament when it came {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} leaving Pham way behind. The turn and river blanked off and Pham was eliminated.

Saul Setback

Kevin Saul has suffered a minor setback after his opponent out kicked him.

The flop came {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and Saul bet 1,000. He got two callers and the turn brought the {9-Clubs}. Saul bet 2,000 and again he got two callers. The river was the {A-Spades} and this time Saul bet 6,000 and was raised by his opponent's all in to 8,750. Saul made the call with {A-?}-X.

His opponent turned over {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} for top two and Saul is left with only 6,000.

Bulldozed

Hevad Khan
Hevad Khan
Hevad Khan ran his {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts} into {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}, and it cost him his tournament life. He and his opponent got it all in preflop, and Khan was in big trouble. He hit his set on the turn when the {4-Spades} came, but it was too late, as the other player had already hit his {K-Diamonds} on the flop. Khan quietly headed for the door.

Morgan Moaning

Jordan Morgan has been sent home after getting all his chips in preflop. Morgan tabled {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} and his opponent {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}.

The flop came {8-Spades} {K-Spades} {J-Spades} and Morgan needed running cards for a full house or he would be gone.

The turn gave him hope when the {10-Diamonds} landed, but the river blanked the {6-Hearts} and Morgan packed up.

Phan's Fall

Young Phan just got all his money in with {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} against {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, the board ran out {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} {J-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, and the turn card gave his opponent a straight.

When the hand was over, Phan said, "Nice hand man, I knew that turn card was coming down. I just knew that would happen." After that loss, Phan had just over 4,000 left.

Shortly thereafter, he had been worked down under 3,000, but he manged to win a race with {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} against {2-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. The {10-Clubs} peeled off on the turn, and Phan doubled up to where he stands now, 6,000.
