John Ferguson Cripples Garrick Lau

John Ferguson raised on the button and Garrick Lau called in the big blind. Both players checked the {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {A-Clubs} flop but when the {6-Clubs} turned Lau bet 10,000, Ferguson raised 20,000 more, and Lau called. The river brought the {4-Hearts} and when Lau moved all in Ferguson called. John held an ace that beat the ten in Lau's and and Ferguson scooped a pot that gave him 63,000. Lau was left with just 2,700 and was eliminated a few hands later.

Dustin Dirksen Doubles

After a {7-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {9-Spades} flop Dustin Dirksen and Dan Deveau got all the money in the middle, with Dirksen's {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs} needing help against Deveau's {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts}. The {J-Hearts} didn't supply that help but the {10-Diamonds} on the river did, and Dirksen doubled up to 90,000.

Alex Jacob Doubles Early

With the board reading {7-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {K-Clubs} Alex Jacob committed the last of his 17,000 chips and Matthew Bucaric made the call. Jacob showed {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs} for the flush and Bucaric mucked his cards even before the {Q-Spades} fell on the river. That double-up puts Jacob at around 60,000.
