Eric Froehlich Eliminated in 11th Place ($19,424)

Eric Froehlich - 11th Place
Eric Froehlich - 11th Place
Stud-8:

Eric Froehlich was involved in a big Stud-8 hand with Jennifer Harman. Froehlich called all the way with {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} but mucked when Harman flipped ({3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}) {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to scoop the pot and leave Froehlich crippled.

Hold'em:

Froehlich was all in from the small blind the very next hand with {8-Hearts}{9-Spades} against the {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of Jared Davis. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Davis makes a pair of jacks to eliminate Froehlich in 11th place for $19,424 in prize money.

Hoyt Corkins = Chip Leader

Stud-8:

Hoyt Corkins raised it up on 4th street, bet out on 5th street and then checked it down against Doug Ganger.

At showdown, Corkins said "Just one pair" as he sheepishly revealed ({4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}) {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Ganger was showing {10-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and surprisingly mucked his hand as he couldn't better the pair of Corkins!

After the hand, Ganger slips to 210,000 while Corkins is now our chip leader with over 500,000 chips.

Paul Zimbler Doubles

Stud-8:

A short-stacked Paul Zimbler has just doubled through Jared Davis. All the money was in on 5th street with Davis drawing to the low showing {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} but he couldn't hit as Zimbler's board ran out ({10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}) {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} (X) for two pair to collect the pot and stay alive with about 90,000 chips.
