Luong Eliminates Noyan

Gioi Luong just relieved Ishak Noyan of the last of his chips, calling Noyan's all-in from the button with pocket 5's. Noyan turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and they were off to the races.

The board filled out {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Luong's 5's held up, earning him an 11,500 pot, which brought his total count up to 71,000.

Ferro Takes the Lead

Richard Ferro just got the best of a preflop confrontation pitting Kings against Queens; Ferro held the Queens and managed to hit one on the turn, bringing his total chip count past 140,000.

Afterwards, someone at the table remarked: "It was a race situation, Queens vs. Kings. The Kings had a bit of a head start, though."

Play Tightening Up

As we approach the final 6 tables, play has tightened up considerably as no one wants to go bust just a few spots outside the money.

Joe Hachem is still here, in support of his good friend Kevin O'Donnell, who is currently sitting on about 63,000 chips.
