Scotty Nguyen turned over J-J in the hole for a pair of jacks for high while Turner showed 2-5-6 in the hole for a 7-6 low. Ron Long mucked and Nguyen and Turner split the pot. Long was eliminated only two spots out of the money.
In a three-way pot vs. Hasan Habib and Barbara Lewis, Susan Chi made a set of fours -- only to run into Hasan Habib's rolled-up fives. Barbara Lewis took the low with a 7-8 and Chi was eliminated.
Though he took a bit of a tumble, getting scooped on two consecutive pots, Marcel Luske just made a set of sixes in a 3-way pot to build his stack back up to 40,000.
After being crippled before the break by Scotty Nguyen, Mike Matusow got the rest of his short stack in vs. Jon Turner. Turner showed a pair of sevens for high and a 7-6 low and Matusow mucked his hand as he hit the rail, just shy of the money. Not quite a blow-up, but certainly a disappointing result.
On her very first hand back from the dinner break, Barbara Lewis caught a wheel against Susan Chi. She scooped the pot and increased her short stack from 4,600 to 18,000.
PokerNews grabbed Scotty Nguyen on break from day two of the $3,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo. Scotty talks about not having played cash games in two years.

David Sklansky was just moved over to Mike Sexton's table -- the author vs. the TV commentator. Both are great players from the "old school" and have seen it all in the poker world. Sitting with them is the classy and debonair Marcel Luske.
Claude Cohen, who was runner-up to Mike Sexton in the 2000 European Championship, is also at this table. Perhaps he's looking for a rematch?
