Jan-Peter Jachtmann Bubbles After Flopping a Set

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jan-Peter Jachtmann Bubble Hand
Jan-Peter Jachtmann Bubble Hand

The bubble has broken, with 2012 WSOP PLO Champion Jan-Peter Jachtmann bubbling the WSOP Circuit King's Casino Main Event. The action got very heated with lots of table talk and a crowd gathering on a flop of {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The controversy began when Erdar betting 88,000 chips, however, the dealer and a couple of others at the table including Michael Magalashvili that was also still in the hand thought they heard him say all in. For his part Erdar kept saying, "I don't care, just put me all-in."

The bet stood, Magalashvili who received a warning not to talk during the hand any further called, and Jachtmann shoved all in for his remaining 177,000 chips. Both players called, and checked back to each other on the turn of {3-Spades} and the river of {k-Clubs}.

More controversy took place when despite being asked not to with another table of play, Erdar exposed he had {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the flush. After hand for hand was over, Magalashivili showed he had {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flopped two-pair, and Jachtmann flopped a set on the flop with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The tournament now has 80 players, each guaranteeing themselves a minimum payday of €2,545. Play is scheduled to continue until we have 16 players.

Pierre Mothes
Pierre Mothes

In the Super High Roller, the pocket queens of Pierre Mothes were cracked and he had to settle for third place. Now, he had pocket aces and the enormous run good of chip leader Süleyman Erdar continued once again after calling the three-bet shove for 136,000 with sevens. A seven came on the board and that was it for Mothes.

Igor Lebloch and Peter Spacek were also eliminated while Johnny Hansen used the bubble to increase his stack significantly. The field has been reduced to 72 players, though the 74th place finisher has not collected his money yet.

Gal now fired 27,000 and Kabrhel shoved for 100,000 with the {8-}{9-} for two pair. Gal snap-called with {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the straight and the river bricked.

Ciaca Busts in Incredible Hand

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Paul Ciaca
Paul Ciaca

Paul Ciaca had moved all in for 74,000 from the button and Dragan Simeunovic tossed in a T-5,000 chip from the small blind, though it was not clear that he actually wanted to limp or call the shove. He then exposed his cards with {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the action was on Mateusz Dziewonski.

The latter moved all in and Simeunovic pushed forward his entire stack of almost 40 big blinds to the surprise of everyone on the table and the rail that had gathered, Ciaca in fact could not hold together and burst out in laughter. Dziewonski snap-called with the {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Ciaca was at risk with the {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The Romanian rail demanded for help but the board ran out blank until the {3-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} turn. The dealer then burned and turned the {5-Spades} on the river and Simeunovic doubled up under incredible circumstances for 380,000. "What the hell are you doing?" a stunned Dziewonski asked and just shook his head. Simeunovic then picked up a one round penalty for exposing the cards out of turn.

Piwowarski Busts in Brutal Beat

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jakub Piwowarski
Jakub Piwowarski

With pocket kings and a flop of {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, one should feel quite secure when facing the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} of an opponent. Jakub Piwowarski was in exactly that situation against Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu. The {A-Hearts} turn and {A-Spades} river however gave Gicovanu a runner ruller full house and the Romanian jumped up to his rail to high-five while Piwowarski headed to the rail with a bad beat story to tell.

Miah: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Cubukcu: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Vadim Markushevski
Vadim Markushevski

The action folded to Vadim Markushevski and he moved all in for 240,000 from the button with {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Quirin Zech had an easy call with pocket aces from one seat over and held up.

Soon after, Tonino Schmitz raised and Zech three-bet to 93,000 from the button. Schmitz called and they checked down the flop {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Schmitz check-called a bet worth 71,000 before the {5-Clubs} was checked through again. Zech showed {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and that was good enough to win the pot.
