Ivanov Doubles in Curios Hand

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Johnny Hansen limped in for 60,000 and the action folded around to Aleksei Ivanov in the big blind, who checked his option. On the flop {J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Spades}, both players checked and Ivanov then moved all in for 240,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. Hansen asked for a count and then made the call with the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Ivanov cheered when he spotted the cards of his opponent, saying to his rail "no outs" as he held the {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair. The meaningless {6-Hearts} river completed the board and the Belorussian doubled.

Timaric Wins Another Pot Off Gal

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Dragoslav Timarac
Dragoslav Timarac

Timarac has separated himself from the two shorter stacks on the table. In a recent hand, Zoltan Gal flat called with {6-Spades}{4-Spades} from the small blind, and Dragoslav Timarac opted to check with {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} to see the flop.

The flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} didn't help Gal, however, he led out with a bet of 60,000. Timarac who flopped the world, decided to try to disguise his hand a bit by just calling.

On the turn came the {7-Diamonds}, giving Gal a double gut-shot straight draw. Gal fired a second bullet for 135,000, and after a little thought, Timarac raised it to 280,000.

Gal called, and the {7-Clubs} hit the river. Gal decided to give up on the hand, and check-folded to his opponents bet of 375,000 chips.

Schmitz Back on the Rise

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

A couple smaller pots went to Tonino Schmitz and then Johnny Hansen limped in from the small blind. Schmitz called and bet the {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop for 100,000 once his opponent had checked. Hansen called and they checked down the {6-Spades} turn before the Dane check-folded the {7-Hearts} river to a bet worth 260,000.

Dziewonski Feels the Pain Again

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jens Steuber pushed from under the gun and the action folded to Tonino Schmitz in the big blind, who peeked at his cards. He folded and exposed the {9-Hearts} first followed by the {8-Diamonds}. The German joked "nines I fold, eights I call."

One hand later, Mateusz Dziewonski opened to 120,000 from the cutoff and was once again met by a three-bet of Johnny Hansen from one seat over. The Pole folded and has lost a big portion of his previous double up again.

Timaric Wins Small Pot on Turn

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Dragoslav Timarac
Dragoslav Timarac

Over on the feature table, it has been small pot after small pot. Zoltan Gal was one of the main beneficiaries and after winning a few small hands, ran his chip stack to near 4 million when this hand unfolded.

Dragoslav Timarac raised under the gun for 110,000 with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. The table's short stack, Stefan Raschbauer, decided to play it safe from the hijack and mucked his {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and the action folded around to Zoltan Gal in the big blind who called with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Timarac found himself with top pair on a {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, and led out for 135,000. Gal raised the action to 290,000, and Timarac went into the tank before jamming a few minutes later. Wasting no time, Gal snap folded, with the dealer shipping the pot over to Timarac.

Schmitz Doesn't Want to Flip

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Mateusz Dziewonski raised to 125,000 while Johnny Hansen was just taking a break and Tonino Schmitz then three-bet the button to 290,000. The German promised his opponent to show the cards when he would fold and Dziewonski then indeed mucked.

Schmitz showed the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and said "you push, I call but I won't like it. I don't want to flip for the final table."

Double Up and Seat Open

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

There were two all ins at the same time and one player was eliminated at the feature table whereas Mateusz Dziewonski just spiked a very lucky double up. What happened will be shown on the delayed stream in half an hour from now on, so let's focus on the other table happenings.

Tonino Schmitz had won a small pot with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} on the board {2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{K-Spades}{3-Spades} against Johnny Hansen when his bet of 165,000 on the river was called by the Dane.

Then, Mateusz Dziewonski moved all in for 830,000 from early position with the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Smith called with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The official final table was only five cards away, but the river came to the rescue of the Pole on a board of {7-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Spades} to ensure that nine players were left.

Thomas Erler Eliminated in 11th Place (€15,513)

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Thomas Erler
Thomas Erler

Another three-bet by Johnny Hansen went through without resistance and then the Dane raised to 110,000 from the button. Thomas Erler shoved the small blind and Tonino Schmitz asked for a count. He then sighed and folded but kept the cards close when Hansen called. Schmitz showed his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Hansen was not too happy, as he had the same hand.

Hansen: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Erler: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop {10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades} was a sweat for Erler and the {Q-Spades} turn left him drawing to an ace only in order to stay in the tournament. The {8-Clubs} river was a blank and that sent Erler to the rail in 11th place.
