Day 2 of the $2,200 High Roller is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino right here in Tampa.
Some 49 players survived Day 1 and will continue drive for the ring today on Day 2. Registration is still open until the start of play, so there may be a few more entries to join the 49 remaining.
The start of day chip leader will be David Russell who holds a large stack of 330,000. With action starting on level 13 with blinds at 1,000/2,000 and with a 2,000 big blind ante, Russell’s stack is good for a whopping 165 big blinds.
The only other players to have north of 100 big blinds are Miguel Hernandez with 275,000 (137.5 bbs) and Nelson Beck (129 bbs). Just shy of of that mark is two-time ring circuit winner Brad Albrinck who holds 197,000 in chips.
