Mendoza Stacking High

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The board read {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Romeo Mendoza bet 32,000 into a pot of about 75,000.

James Calderaro had a decision on his hands. He studied the diamond heavy board and spread the pot to get a better look at it. After about 30 seconds he folded and allowed Mendoza to take the decent size pot to continue his climb upwards.

Altman Takes Large Chunk From Khavin

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A large pot was being counted out by the dealer with the board reading {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

It has been an all in situation and Brian Altman's winning hand of {j-}{j-} was showing as the winner over the {a-}{k-} of Filipp Khavin to create a sizable shift in chips at the table.

Large Pot Ends Tamely

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A large pot of close to 70,000 was in the middle on the river on a board that read {5-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The decision was on Michael Wang who was thinking long and hard. Eventually his opponent John Dollinger called clock and Wang checked. Dollinger checked behind quickly.

Wang hopefully turned over the {10-}{8-} while Dollinger showed {k-}{10-} which was the best hand to give Dollinger the nice sized pot.
