Kourtoumbellides Back Into Commanding Lead

Level 42 : 125,000/250,000, 0 ante

Loucas "Rage Monkey1" Kourtoumbellides lost a pot of 3.06 million when his continuation bet on the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was called by Pulkit Goyal. They checked the {j-Spades} turn and {9-Hearts} river, and Goyal prevailed with {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} versus {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

However, soon after an even bigger pot emerged and Kourtoumbellides regained his commanding lead.

It was the usual button raise to 750,000 and a call by Goyal, which led to the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. Goyal check-called for 780,000 and did so again for 3,060,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn. They checked it through on the 53h] river and Goyal's {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was no good, as Kourtoumbellides held the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.
