Gissel Heredia is one of the few women left in the Main Event and has been rather quiet all day long. Just lately, she's picked up a few nice pots to storm up the leaderboard.
On the first hand, Heredia called a raise from Dave Tiffenberg of 3,000 preflop. Tiffenberg was in middle position with Heredia in the hijack seat. The flop came down and Tiffenberg continued his aggression with a bet of 5,000. Heredia min-raised to 10,000 and took down the pot.
A couple of hands later, Heredia saw a flop with Manny Minaya and Dave Tiffenberg. The flop came down and all three players checked. The turn brought the and Minaya checked in first position. Tiffenberg fired out 5,000 into the pot of about 9,000 chips. Heredia made the call and Minaya folded.
The river was the and both players checked rather quickly. Tiffenberg revealed pocket jacks, but Heredia paired up with to take down the pot.
Heredia is now up to 120,000 chips and one of the few people over 100,000 so far today.
Facing an under the gun limper and a shove from the small blind, Beth Shak called all-in with for about 19,000 and the under the gun player folded. The small blind showed and Shak was in terrific position to double up.
The board ran out and Shak doubled to about 43,000.
Jason Young fired out a bet of 3,675 into Todd Terry after the flop was laid out . Terry then raised all in for 21,550 total. There was around 10,000 chips already in the pot from preflop action.
Young tanked for what was a good several minutes before folding. After he mucked, Terry showed just one card -- the .
Kyle Bowker got in after fourth street with a set of threes against Manny Minaya's flush draw. However, a third heart hit the board and Bowker was felted.
Manny Minaya appears to be the chip leader at the moment with 130,000.
We pick up a three-handed pot on the flop with the board reading . Eric "sheets" Haber, working with the short stack, moved all in. Sheree Bykofsky was next, and she made the call. Also in the pot was John McEwen, and he too called.
With Haber at risk, the two live players saw the turn come a . Bykofsky checked, McEwen fired a bet, and Bykofsky let it go.

McEwen had gotten there on the turn, making his straight to take a big lead. The river was a blank, and "sheets" stood up, wished his table luck, and headed for the door.
Svetlana Gromenkova moved all in over the top of an opening raise from the chip leader Igor Borukhov. When action folded back over to Borukhov, he quickly made the call.
Borukhov revealed in a race against Gromenkova's pocket sevens.
The board was quickly run out to eliminate last year's WSOP Women's Champion Gromenkova from the tournament.
Lee Childs has just been eliminated. He got it all in preflop with . Unfortunately for him, a player down the line woke up with and put Childs to the test. Failing to improve his pocket pair, the good-natured pro has been sent to the rail.
