Nikolay Evdakov Eliminated in 14th Place ($16,102)

Nikolay Evdakov defied all odds today, wielding the tournament's shortest stack at the start of the day (12,100) and riding it all the way to a 14th-place finish worth $16,102 in prize money.

Nikolay was eliminated from the tournament by Ralph Perry after shoving all in from the button with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}; Perry looked him up with a pocket pair of nines. A third nine on the flop for Perry tightened his grip on the hand, though a jack on the turn gave the Russian Evdakov four outs to a gutshot straight draw. Unfortunately for Nikolay, an ace fell on the river putting an end to his impressive Day 2 run, though he walked away with his head held high, happy to have gone as far as he did.

With the win, Ralph Perry has once again crawled past the 400,000 mark in chips.

Perry Takes a Pot From Nguyen

Ralph Perry raised the pre-flop action to 22,000 and got one caller in Than Nguyen. The flop revealed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and was followed by a Perry bet, which was quickly raised to 90,000 by Nguyen. After a moment of hesitation, Perry called and saw the {A-Spades} peel off on the turn. Checks by both players brought the {10-Clubs} on the river, where Perry fired a 60,000 bet and Nguyen responded with a call. Perry casually tabled a suited A-7 to the dismay of Nguyen, who was left shaking his hand as he flicked his cards into the muck.

Bonomo Back to Work

Justin Bonomo

Shortly following the last intermission, Justin Bonomo took a sizable chunk out of Thomas Hover's stack, increasing his own by about 50,000.

Action folded around to Bonomo on the button and he made it 22,000 to go. Hover was the lone caller and the flop came {6-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Hover took a stab at the pot, betting 30,000 into the young internet pro, but Justin answered with a 40,000 raise (70,000 total) that prompted Hover to fold.

Bonomo now has close to 400,000 in tournament chips and climbing.
