Voisnis Continues to Build

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The remaining four players have been sent into another 15-minute break and Aleksandras Voisnis pulled away further before the action concluded at the end of the level. Rati Vale Il Dieko was the one that sent over a portion of his stack without showdown and the Spaniard dropped to just over one million in chips and behind Ahoor Parham, while Johan Guilbert remains the shortest stack.

Voisnis Shows Another Bluff

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Aleksandras Voisnis raised to 85,000 and Ahoor Parham called in the small blind, as did Rati Vale Il Dieko in the big blind. On a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} the action checked to the Lithuanian and Voisnis continued for 150,000. Only Il Dieko called and the {2-Hearts} fell on the turn, which the Spaniard checked.

Voisnis bet 310,000 and Il Dieko eventually folded. "Show a bluff," Johan Guilbert said after having walked back to the table. "One time?" Voisnis grinned and flashed {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, which Guilbert applauded with the words "my hero."

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Mathieu Papineau
Mathieu Papineau

Hand 1

Rati Vale Il Dieko raised to 120,000 first to act and Ahoor Parham called from the small blind. Mathieu Papineau moved all in from the big blind and the Spaniard called from one seat over with a very similar stack while Parham mucked {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Rati Vale Il Dieko: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Mathieu Papineau: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and the Spaniard doubled for 605,000, leaving Papineau with just 50,000.

Hand 2

Aleksandras Voisnis raised to 110,000 and Papineau called all in for 45,000 from the small blind.

Mathieu Papineau: {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Aleksandras Voisnis: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop provided to excitement for Papineau, and he was left drawing dead on the {3-Diamonds} turn to leave the table while the {J-Clubs} fell on the river. Papineau takes home 170,000 MAD for his efforts.

More for Parham

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The stacks at the bottom of the counts are getting somewhat shallow and a trio is fighting for some edge with very few big blinds between each of them. Ahoor Parham has pulled away from them by far after taking down a small pot against Aleksandras Voisnis.

Voisnis raised to 85,000 on the button and Parham defended the big blind. Both checked the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and Parham's bet of 100,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn won the hand without further resistance.

Two for Voisnis

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Johan Guilbert made it 60,000 to go from under the gun and Aleksandras Voisnis called from the big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Voisnis checked and Guilbert continued for 40,000. Voisnis check-raised to 155,000 and Guilbert folded with the words "show me a bluff!" Voisnis obliged and flipped over {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

One hand later, Mathieu Papineau limped in and Voisnis raised to 110,000. After the fold of the Frenchman, Voisnis turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and raked in another pot. The Lithuanian has established a decent lead over the other four finalists and dominates most hands that he took part in recently.

Parham Without Showdown

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Mathieu Papineau opened the action with a raise to 75,000 first to act and Ahoor Parham defended his big blind, before check-calling a bet worth 65,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. Both players checked the {10-Hearts} on the turn and Parham's bet of 75,000 on the {8-Clubs} river eventually won the pot without any further action.

Parham Folds to Shoves

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Johan Guilbert opened to 60,000 on the button and Ahoor Parham three-bet to 250,000 in the small blind. Mathieu Papineau four-bet all in from the big blind and Guilbert quickly folded, while Parham asked for a count. The shove was for 620,000 in total and Parham took one minute before announcing a fold.

He claimed the blinds and antes the next hand before raising again, this time for 65,000. Rati Vale Il Dieko shoved from the small blind and forced a fold.

Give It to Guilbert

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Johan Guilbert moved all in from the cutoff and Mathieu Papineau in the small blind gave a closer look at his stack, then asked for a count. The shove was deemed to be for 419,000 and Papineau called, while fellow short stack Rati Vale Il Dieko let go his big blind.

Johan Guilbert: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Mathieu Papineau: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and the pair held up for Guilbert to see the Frenchman double into third place.
