Saout Joins the Rail

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

Antoine Saout moved all in for what appeared to be his last two big blinds and Niko Koop min-raised to scare off all other players in the last hand of the level. Koop joked to the Frenchman that they would be splitting most of the time, as he held {K-Clubs} {5-Clubs} and Saout got {K-Hearts} {3-Clubs}.

However, the {2-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} board gave Koop a straight and he knocked out the third player in a row.

Two in a Row for Koop

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Once the bubble burst, David van Roosbroeck was the first player to hit the rail in 45th place for a min-cash of €2,335. Shortly after, Saied Lege moved all in with {J-Spades} {4-Spades} and got called by Niko Koop from one seat over with {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. The board ran out {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and Lege was also sent to the rail.

Maybe one minute passed and Salvatore Alessi pushed forward a stack of T-5,000 chips for what looked like 90,000 with about the same amount of chips behind. The player in seat one mucked and later said in table chat he had {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}. Koop pushed all in from the small blind and Alessi called off.

Koop: {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Alessi: {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Spades} {4-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and Alessi also fell to Koop.

Huge Setback for Gybels

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Niels Gybels had dominated the last few levels but would lost a massive pot for more than half a million in chips against Nico Lombaerts. The action on the {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {K-Hearts} river is amiss, but Gybels then bet 62,000. Lombaerts moved all in for exactly 200,000 and Gybels was vaulted out of his chair.

"This is so sick," the Belgian said and gave it some more thought. He ultimately put forward some chips to make the call and was shown {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} by Lombaerts. It took a while to sink in before Gybels turned over his {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} and cut out the T-5,000 stacks to pay off his opponent.

Matas Cimbolas Bubbles the 2015 bwin.be WPTN Brussels

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas is the Bubble Boy

Mathieu Alciato raised from under the gun and Matas Cimbolas moved all in for his short stack to get called by Barny Boatman, the player in the big blind as well as Alciato. On the {9-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {K-Clubs} flop, the player in the big blind check-called a bet of 11,000 by Alciato and then folded the {5-Hearts} turn to another 24,000 bet.

Once the other tables were finished, the showdown proceeded:

Cimbolas: {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}
Alciato: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

Only a seven could save the Lithuanian but the {8-Clubs} river was a brick. The last 12 minutes of the level are still played before everyone is sent off into a 60-minute dinner break.

Day 1b chip leader Yves Senterre shoved his short stack of 54,000 chips in from middle position and Yehoram Houri called from the button, the players in the blinds folded. Senterre had the {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and Houri flipped over {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} to reduce the field to 46.
