Wilhelm Keeps Climbing

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

It seems like every time we pass his table Guillaume Wilhelm is involved in a hand. He was at it again just now opening the action from early position and picking up two callers.

Wilhelm continuation bet the flop of {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and got two quick folds. For good measure Wilhelm showed the table his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. When you’re hot, you’re hot.

Pecheux In Position

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

There was an open to 1,200 and one caller before the action got to Erwann Pecheux on the button. Pecheux made the call and the small blind came along too.

The flop of {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was checked around and on the turn {3-Hearts} the player who flat called preflop bet 2,100. Pecheux was the only caller and the dealer put out the final card the {2-Spades}. Pecheux now faced a bet of 4,600 and he rolled his eyes before throwing in a single chip to indicate a call.

Pecheux’s call was good enough though as his opponent mucked and he scooped the pot cards unseen.

No Go For Nadot

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Mireille Nadot doesn’t seem to be having the best of luck today, never getting above starting stack and getting punished for any move she tried to make.

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} Nadot was in the small blind and checked. Her opponent bet out 1,600 and Nadot went for a chunky check-raise to 6,000. Her opponent responded by moving all in, easily covering the 7,000 Nadot had behind, but Nadot flicked the cards away.

Wilhelm Shows Who’s Boss

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Guillaume Wilhelm was the early position raiser and two players had come along reaching the turn of a board reading {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

A check from Wilhelm saw the player to his let bet 3,600 get a call and then it was back to Wilhelm. Sizing up the situation Wilhelm splashed out a check-raise to 11,150. The player to his left quickly mucked but the other player took his time to think.

When he did muck another player, not in the hand, loudly exclaimed something in French that prompted Wilhelm to toss his cards at him face up to ensure his curiosity was satisfied. It was the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

It looks like Wilhelm is intent on bullying the table when he can, using his stack to push people of marginal hands and take any edge where he can find it.
