Sorel Mizzi: 66

Kempe was in a great spot to double, but that changed as the board started 7436 to give Mizzi a set. In a stunning turn of events, the dealer then put down the J on the river to give the German an emphatic double.

Moneymaker Calls Down Boeree

Chris Moneymaker

Liv Boeree opened to 2,000,000 in early position and Chris Moneymaker made the call in the small blind.

Moneymaker checked the 2108 flop, with Boeree checking behind to see the 4 turn.

Another pair of checks led to the 2 river, where Moneymaker tapped the table one last time. Boeree took some time before counting out a bet of 1,300,000.

"I thought we were chopping," said Moneymaker as he considered his next move. "I'm guessing ace-queen or king-queen. Let's see which one it is."

"Neither," replied Boeree who slid her cards forward.

Moneymaker showed AJ as he raked in the pot.

Roland Rokita raised it up from under the gun and Matthias Eibinger stuck in a three-bet from the big blind. Rokita called and they went heads-up to a flop of K105 with around 11,000,000 already in the middle.

Eibinger led out with a bet of 3,800,000 and Roikita called to see the 9 on the turn. Eibinger announced all in and Rokita snap-called with a stack of 14,575,000. Eibinger turned over AA but Rokita flopped a set with 1010. The river was the 5 and Rokita improved to a full house for a massive double-up.

Boeree Uses Her One Time

Liv Boeree

At the outer feature table, Derric Haynie opened to 2,000,000 in early position. Liv Boeree was next to act and shipped all in for 12,475,000. Chris Moneymaker asked for a count from the big blind but decided to fold. Haynie quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Derric Haynie: KK

Boeree closed her eyes in meditation for the brief moment before the cards were dealt and asked for her one time. The dealer fanned the flop of AQJ and Boeree's eyes opened wide for the ace in the window. The 8 and J runout were clean and Boeree scored a double-up.

Meanwhile on the outer table, Matthias Eibinger was all-in with AJ but was up against the KK of Sirzat Hissou. A king on the flop left Eibinger drawing slim and he was unable to catch up.

Matthew Belcher opened to 2,000,000 in the cutoff and Chris Moneymaker tossed in a call on the button. Pablo Melogno slid in calling chips in the small blind before Derric Haynie committed his short stack of less than one big blind.

Haynie was at risk four-way and watched the action check through the 85A flop. All three players checked again after seeing the 10 turn, with no more betting following the A river.

Moneymaker showed 33 to claim the small side pot. Haynie smiled as he tabled 82, good enough to stay alive and quadruple his short stack.

Ren Lin opened to 2,000,000 from under the gun and Christopher Nguyen three-bet to 6,500,000 on the button and Vladimir Minko cold four-bet jammed a stack of 13,000,000 from the big blind. Lin folded and Nguyen called.

Haynie Sticks Around a Little Longer

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

The action folded to Derric Haynie on the button who shoved all in for 6,400,000 after previously doubling up from just a couple of big blinds. Liv Boeree called from the small blind and Mustapha Kanit folded his big blind.

Derric Haynie: A9All in
Liv Boeree: 55

It was a coin flip and the flop of QQ6 left Boeree in the lead with two pair. The 10 on the turn changed nothing as neither player held a club in their hand. However, it was the 9 on the river that gave Haynie a better two pair in order to survive again.
