Kempe Picks Off Kornuth's Bluff and Leaves Him Short

Level 16 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Action folded to the small blind Chance Kornuth who raised to 175,000, and the big blind Rainer Kempe made the call.

After the 4QA flop, Kempe called a bet of 100,000 from Kornuth.

Both players checked after the K on the turn, which brought the J. Kornuth then bet out 800,000, leaving just 145,000 behind. Kempe gave it a quick thought before making the call.

Kornuth tabled Q3 for a pair of queens, but Kempe had the winner when he turned over Q10 for a Broadway straight, to take the pot, and leave Kornuth short.

Saout Doubles Through Zack

Level 16 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Daniel Zack opened to 145,000 in the cutoff and Antoine Saout ripped all in for 860,000 out of the big blind. Zack asked for a count and used a time bank before making the call.

Antoine Saout: AQAll in
Daniel Zack: A9

Saout was in a dominating position and the flop of K85 left it that way. The 6 on the turn and the 2 on the river changed nothing, giving Saout a double up.

Short Stack Battle in the Blinds

Level 16 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action folded around to Michael Duek in the small blind who just limped in. Thomas Muehloecker checked his option and the dealer fanned the AK10 flop. Duek led out with a min-bet of 60,000 and Muehloecker called.

The turn was the A and Duek flicked in a bet of 100,000. Muehloecker still called and the Q landed on the river. Duek shipped his stack of 730,000 into the middle and Muehloecker gave it some thought before sending his cards to the muck.
