Charles La Boissonniere opened 25,000 on the button and Santiago Nadal defended the big blind.
The dealer fanned a flop of K♣K♦6♥, and once Nadal checked, La Boissonniere continued for 15,000. That was enough to earn the pot as Nadal mucked his hand.
Orpen Kisacikoglu was all in for around 250,000 from under the gun, Denys Chufarin had his last 300,000 in from middle position, and Michal Wywrot had both players covered and at risk in early position.
Orpen Kisacikoglu: A♠K♦
Denys Chufarin: A♦K♠
Michal Wywrot: A♦A♣
Wywrot showed down a pair of aces to leave Kisacikoglu and Chufarin needing a miracle to survive. The board ran out 5♠9♠Q♣9♣5♥ and Wywrot scooped the pot to eliminate both opponents.
"Building up a stack. You must have had a good dinner," tablemate Boris Becker said.
"Good luck noodles. I didn't even open the fortune cookie. I didn't have time," Wywrot replied.
Newly-crowned two-time WSOP bracelet winner Stephen Chidwick recently took his seat at this table.
Chance Kornuth raised to 26,000 in the cutoff and Ilia Arkhipov moved all in for 295,000 in the big blind. Kornuth quickly called.
Ilia Arkhipov: Q♣9♦
Chance Kornuth: J♦J♥
Arkhipov had been caught making a move, but the Q♦10♠3♦ flop bailed him out as he hit top pair. The 9♣ turn gave Kornuth outs to a straight, but Arkhipov dodged the 4♠ river and doubled up.
"It's not bad if you know the queen is coming," a tablemate said.
Three players saw the 6♥4♥3♣ flop, and Jianwei Lin checked from the big blind before Thomas Eychenne shot a bet of 30,000 next to act into the pot of about 100,000. Santhosh Suvarna was on the button and got out of the way, but Lin stuck around with a call.
The K♠ fell on the turn, and Lin checked to Eychenne who continued for 112,000. Lin stood up to eye Eychenne's stack and fumbled with his chips for about 25 seconds before deciding on a raise of 310,000. Eychenne went into a tank of his own, taking a little more than two minutes before stacking up a pile of chips large enough to cover Lin and sliding them across the line. Lin snap-called off his stack of 743,000 and both hands were tossed on their backs.
Jianwei Lin: 7♠5♥
Thomas Eychenne: 6♦6♣
It was a cooler as Lin had flopped a straight against the set of Eychenne, and Lin managed to avoid the board pairing as the dealer rolled the Q♦ river.
Eelis Parssinen raised to 25,000 in the hijack and Lei Yu moved all in for 260,000 in the small blind. Alexander Zubov reshoved in the big blind and Parssinen got out of the way.
Lei Yu: 6♥6♠
Alexander Zubov: J♣J♠
Yu was dominated as the flop came 9♥Q♥5♥, but the 7♥ turn improved him to a flush and left Zubov drawing dead. The river was the K♥ and Yu, who celebrated his bracelet win with a ceremony during one of the breaks earlier today, doubled up.
Two players saw the J♠10♠8♣Q♣ turn, where Vinay Boob bet 40,000 into the pot of about 80,000. Aaron Olechnowicz put in a raise to 100,000, and Boob made the call.
The 2♦ completed the board on the river and Boob checked it over to Olechnowicz who shot 300,000 across the line. Boob gave it about 30 seconds of thought before tossing a chip across the line to make the call. Olechnowicz rolled K♣7♣ for a missed flush draw and Boob tabled 9♦9♥ for a straight.
Joao Vieira raised to 25,000 in early position, Dylan Linde three-bet to 95,000 in the small blind, and Vieira called.
Linde continued for 30,000 on the J♦9♥2♠ flop and Vieira called. The turn was the 7♣ and Linde slowed down and checked. Vieira then bet 90,000 and Linde quickly folded.
In addition to Vieira and Linde, this table also includes high roller regulars Daniel Dvoress, Seth Davies, Quan Zhou, and Eliot Hudon.
In a three-way pot on a board of 4♣5♥5♣10♣K♥, Aaron Olechnowicz bet 25,000 and Matthew Belcher raised to 200,000 from the next seat before Jason Mercier three-bet jammed a stack of around 460,000 behind them.
Olechnowicz folded and Belcher called with less. Mercier showed K♠4♠ but it was no good against the flush of his opponent with K♣3♣.
Mercier was forced all in in the big blind the next hand and saw a flop of 5♠5♦3♦ three ways. Justin Zaki bet 30,000 on the flop and Sevilla raised to 60,000. Zaki folded.
Jason Mercier: 8♥4♣
Aaron Olechnowicz: K♦5♣
Mercier was against trips and the board finished out Q♥9♣ to mark the stylish six-time bracelet winner's elimination.
