Kristen Foxen opened 14,000 in the hijack and Jean-Robert Bellande defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of J♠J♣2♣, and Bellande check-raised a bet of 11,000 to 35,000. Foxen took only a couple of seconds before mucking her hand.

Bellande quickly flashed Jx before mucking his cards as he said, "I had it."

In a heads-up pot on a board of J♦10♣A♥J♥9♦, Sam Greenwood checked from the big blind and Hannes Jeschka bet 125,000 from early position.

Greenwood check-raised all in with a stack of around 500,000 and Jeschka went in the tank before folding to hang onto his stack of around 225,000.

Jianwei Lin opened to 13,000 from under the gun and was called by Alejandro Lococo in the small blind. Joni Jouhkimainen reraised to 56,000 from the big blind and both Lin and Lococo called.

The flop fell Q♠8♠2♠ and the action checked to Lin who bet 42,000. Lococo called and Jouhkimainen tagged along as well. The 4♥ landed on the turn and Lin fired out another bet of 180,000. Lococo shipped all in for 418,000 which got Jouhkimainen to fold but Lin quickly called.

Lococo turned over A♠6♠ for a flush while Lin held 8♥8♣ for a set of eights. The 6♦ on the river did not pair the board and Lococo held on for a big double up.

With the J♣8♠2♥4♣ turn already on the felt, Fedor Holz fired a pot-sized bet of 35,000 across the line from the big blind. Sacha Weinber was in middle position and made the call.

The 10♥ completed the board on the river, and Holz continued aggression as he tossed a bet of 55,000. Weinber responded with a raise to 150,000, and Holz went into the tank for about a minute before nodding as he slid his cards toward the dealer.

Heads up to a flop with the board reading 9♦3♥2♦, Vardan Vardanyan opted to lead from the big blind before Jesse Lonis raised to 70,000 from the button. Vardanyan didn't take long before he stuck in the call.

On the A♥ turn, Vardanyan checked to Lonis who announced a bet of 175,000. Vardanyan went into the tank for over a minute before he opted to fold, prompting Lonis to windmill the K♦10♠ onto the table as his bluff got through.

Vardanyan has his work cut out for him at a brutal table that includes Matthew Wantman, Punnat Punsri, Nacho Barbero, Jesse Lonis, Kannapong Thanarattrakul, and Espen Myrmo.

The turn was the 9♠ and both players checked to the J♦ on the turn. Seiver led out with a full pot-sized bet of 55,000. Boeken countered with a raise to 150,000 and Seiver dumped his cards to the muck. Boeken flashed his K♥10♦ for a straight while raking in the pot.

Triton Million Hands of the Week: Ivey Loses $1,000,000; Brutal Bubble Bustout for Ryan Feldman

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise, which is taking place on Paradise Island in The Bahamas, got off to a big start with the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million, which marked the WSOP's first partnership with Triton Poker.

It was a unique tournament that paired an invitee with a poker pro – each putting up a $500,000 buy-in – and then competing in respective fields on Day 1 before combining on Day 2. The tournament, which was being live reported by PokerNews, featured 74 players (37 pairs) and much to our surprise saw two players get their chips all in on the very first hand of the tournament.

It was a big hand, but just one captured by the PokerNews Live Reporting Team. Here is a look at five other either big or game-changing hands from the Triton Million.
