With 435 total entries recorded thus far on Day 1a in the $25,000 WSOP Super Main Event, just 300 are still in their seats as they are set to take a 60-minute dinner break. The action will resume at approximately 7:30 p.m. with a 12,000 big blind. Here is a look at what happened in the previous two levels:
2024 WSOP Paradise
The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise, which is taking place on Paradise Island in The Bahamas, got off to a big start with the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million, which marked the WSOP's first partnership with Triton Poker.
It was a unique tournament that paired an invitee with a poker pro – each putting up a $500,000 buy-in – and then competing in respective fields on Day 1 before combining on Day 2. The tournament, which was being live reported by PokerNews, featured 74 players (37 pairs) and much to our surprise saw two players get their chips all in on the very first hand of the tournament.
It was a big hand, but just one captured by the PokerNews Live Reporting Team. Here is a look at five other either big or game-changing hands from the Triton Million.

Arthur Conan opened 25,000 in middle position before Paul Jager jammed his last 214,000 across the line from the cutoff. The action folded back around to Conan and after briefly eying Jager's stack, he made the call.
Paul Jager: Q♥8♦
Arthur Conan: A♣Q♠
Jager was dominated but the 10♥9♥8♠ flop gave him the lead with a pair of eights. Conan still had outs with a gutshot straight draw to chop, as well as an ace to win, but the 3♣ turn and 3♦ river meant Jager could remain seated.
"It was that or go watch the football game," said Jager as he pulled in the pot.

Josh Arieh raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and Justin Bonomo defended from the big blind. The flop came K♣10♥8♠ and Bonomo check-called a bet of 15,000 from Arieh.
The turn was the 7♠ and both players checked to the Q♦ on the river. Bonomo led out with a bet of 30,000 and Arieh slung his cards to the muck.

With over 200,000 already in the middle, the turn read Q♠10♥6♣10♣ and Paul Newey checked from the big blind to Jamie Flynn on the button who fired a bet of 150,000. Newey made the call.
The J♠ completed the board on the river and Newey checked once more. Flynn fired five green chips across the line for a bet of 500,000 and Newey snap-called off his stack of 428,000. Flynn tabled K♠9♠ for a rivered straight but was shown the bad news as Newey's Q♣Q♦ was on the table for a full house.

Marc Rivera opened to 26,000 from under the gun and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 110,000 in the small blind. Cole Keenan then four-bet jammed a stack of 323,000 in the big blind to bring a quick fold from Rivera.
Kaverman went deep in the tank and gazed at the ceiling before tossing his cards to the dealer.
