2024 WSOP Paradise
Chip Counts
What is a player to do when they love tournament poker, their mind allows them to compete against the best of the best, but their body doesn’t want to cooperate? That’s a question “Texas” Mike Moncek, who suffers from a heart condition, asked himself Wednesday night after playing in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise Event #7: $100,000 Triton Main Event.
The tournament, which is being live reported by PokerNews, attracted 182 entrants and offered up an $18,200,000 prize pool. On Day 2, a little over 40 players remained when Texas Mike, in his own words, “punted.”
Level: 4
Blinds: 1,500/3,000
Ante: 3,000
Players have been sent on their first 15-minute break of the day. After three levels there has been a total of 33 entrants, with 30 players remaining.
Action was picked on the flop with the board showing K♦3♥2♥ and 65,000 in the pot.
The small blind Ottomar Ladva bet out 18,000, and Tamas Adamszki on the button made the call.
After the 9♥ on the turn, Ladva check-called a bet of 45,000 from Adamszki.
The river brought the A♦ and once Ladva checked, Adamszki moved all in for his stack of 88,500. Ladva confirmed the count, before mucking his hand to give the pot to Adamszki.

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise, which is taking place on Paradise Island in The Bahamas, got off to a big start with the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million, which marked the WSOP's first partnership with Triton Poker.
It was a unique tournament that paired an invitee with a poker pro – each putting up a $500,000 buy-in – and then competing in respective fields on Day 1 before combining on Day 2. The tournament, which was being live reported by PokerNews, featured 74 players (37 pairs) and much to our surprise saw two players get their chips all in on the very first hand of the tournament.
It was a big hand, but just one captured by the PokerNews Live Reporting Team. Here is a look at five other either big or game-changing hands from the Triton Million.
Felipe Ketzer raised to 5,500 under the gun, Artur Martirosian three-bet to 18,000 in the hijack, and Samuel Mullur four-bet jammed for 64,500 in the cutoff, putting himself at risk. Brekstyn Schutten then reshoved in the big blind to isolate, resulting in folds from Ketzer and Martirosian.
Samuel Mullur: 10♣10♥
Brekstyn Schutten: K♥K♦
The board ran out 5♥7♦A♠A♣7♥ and Schutten's kings held to send Mullur to the rail.

Tamas Adamszki opened from under the gun and then called after Leonard Maue three-bet from the button.
Adamszki check-called a bet on the 7♠4♥3♠ flop to create a pot of 105,000.
On the A♣ turn, Adamszki check-called another bet for 35,000 before the 7♦ river quickly checked through.
Tamas Adamszki: 10♠10♦
Leonard Maue: Q♠Q♥
Maue's queens were good as he took a sizeable pot off the Hungarian.

Action folded to Kazuyuki Tanemura on the button who raised to 6,000. The small blind Felipe Ketzer then three-bet to 25,000. The big blind folded, and Tanemura made the call.
The flop came Q♥A♥4♥ and Ketzer bet out 10,000, before Tanemura raised to 27,000. Ketzer made the call.
After the 9♥ on the turn, Ketzer check-called another bet of 27,000 from Tanemura.
Both players checked after the 8♠ on the river. Ketzer turned over A♣K♣ for a pair of aces, but Tanemura had the winner with 8♥6♣ to take the pot with his flush.

Mario Mosbock raised to 6,000 under the gun and was three-bet by Aleksejs Ponakovs on the button to 22,500. Mosbock made the call.
The flop came Q♦7♥5♣ and both players checked to the 8♥ turn. Mosbock led out with a bet of 52,000 and Ponakovs called.
The river brought the 2♣ and Mosbock moved all in for 225,500, putting himself at risk. Ponakovs thought for a moment before making the call with K♠8♠ for a pair of eights.
Mosbock turned over 7♣7♦ for a set of sevens, and the pot was pushed his way.
