Sequeira Sends Aldemir Packing

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was an under the gun raise to 20,000 followed by a call in middle position by Jamie Sequeira and then a call in the big blind by Koray Aldemir.

The Q5K flop landed and the action checked to Sequeira who bet 25,000. Only Aldemir called.

The 3 rolled off on the turn and it checked to Sequeira again who bet 60,000. It was then back on Aldemir who only had about 80,000 left. After a moment in the tank he moved all in and Sequeira snap called.

Koray Aldemir: KJ
Jamie Sequeira: KQ

The Main Event Champ needed some help but it would not come in the 8 river. Aldemir hit the rail before the bubble.

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kevin Martin
Kevin Martin

Leonard Maue got it in ahead for around 230,000 with KK against the JJ of Kevin Martin. However, the GGPoker streamer spiked a full house on the 332J5 runout and knocked out Maue.

The next player to fall was Sriharsha Doddapaneni, who flipped with queen-jack against the eights of Martin. It was a dramatic runout with a jack on the flop and eight on the river.

One hand later, Davidi Kitai opened to 22,000 in the cutoff. Martin three-bet to 76,000 on the button and Kitai tank-folded.

Lee Among Most Recent Casualties

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a three-way all-in showdown between short stacks, Barry Donovan had the best of it with the JJ. Hyunseung Lee with the 1010 and Dave Alfa with 77 were also involved as well but the 953Q2 board ensured a triple-up of Donovan.

Lee was left with one blind and Alfa doubled thereafter.

Anton Smirnov also came up short of a cash on Day 1c, as the field dropped to just 105 hopefuls.

Ruivo Gets the Clock Called and Then Puts in the Chips

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Manuel Ruivo
Manuel Ruivo

Manuel Ruivo opened the action to 20,000 in middle position before the action folded all the way to Renan Meneguetti in the big blind who defended and they were off to see a flop.

The 58A flop landed and the action checked to Ruivo who continued for 20,000. Meneguetti called.

The 4 rolled off on the turn and it checked to Ruivo but that time he opted to check back.

The 2 rolled off on the river and Meneguetti led for 30,000.

Ruivo went into the tank and was thinking for long enough to warrant the clock being called. After using almost the full minute he put in the chips.

Meneguetti taped the table and then showed J10 for a bluff and Ruivo tabled two black tens for the win.

Tsokaridis Short; Subchuk Out

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Table 10 produced two all-in showdown.

Riley Fuller got it in with AQ against the 66 of Paraskevas Tsokaridis and the 322JQ runout provided the overcard on the river.

Soon after that, the cards were already exposed. Jason Subchuk had flopped top pair top kicker with AQ on a board of QJ610J. However, the K9 of Jorge Ribeiro turned a king-high straight and reduced the field by one.

Hand-for-Hand Mode Underway

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Another three players bowed out and Raminder Singh then chopped with Corey Brass when he open-jammed for 135,000 with the A10 and was called by Brass in the small blind with A10.

They chopped it up on the QJ6Q5 runout, while Dawn Tollett in the big blind couldn't watch, having reluctantly folded.

Upon completion of that hand, the clock was stopped and staff announced hand-for-hand mode with 103 left and 98 set to advance.
