Pitavy Scores a Big Double
Jan Strazisar raised to 10,000 and earned one caller thereafter. Emilien Pitavy then three-bet to 47,000 before Strazisar announced a reraise, carefully sorting chips and pushing forward 245,000. One fold later, it was up to Pitavy who announced call and wanted to turn over his cards already.
His table neighbours instantly urged him to wait as he may have more chips behind, which was indeed the case. Once most chips of both players were in the middle, they headed to the K♥J♠2♦ flop. Pitavy was all-in for another 25,000 and Strazisar called.
Emilien Pitavy: Q♥Q♣
Jan Strazisar: 10♥10♦
The Q♠ turn gave Pitavy a set while Strazisar now gained more outs than he had one street earlier. However, the 4♥ ruver was a blank and Pitavy scored an enormous double.
