A Three-Bet and Some Confusion

Level 42 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Adrian Garcia Marin opened to 1,000,000 in the small blind and then faced a larger three-bet to 3,000,000 by Anthony Soules in the big blind. The Spaniard folded and the pot was shipped to Soules.

One hand later, there was a potential missdeal which Garcia Marin complained about but the hand continued with him folding on the button. Anthony Soules limped the small blind and Hugues Mazerolle checked in the big blind.

The entire board of {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} was checked down and Soules won the pot with {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Letalleur Gets Shorter

Level 41 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Adrian Garcia Marin defended the big blind against a raise by Hugues Mazerolle and checked the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, on which the initial raiser bet 400,000. Garcia Marin called and checked again the {5-Clubs} on the turn and Mazerolle then bet 1,500,000.

Garcia Marin gave it some thought and folded, offering to show his cards if Mazerolle would do the same. However, that didn't come to an agreement as Mazerolle just mucked and raked in the pot.

Joaquim Marques Eliminated in 11th Place (€11,140)

Joaquim Marques
Joaquim Marques

Pablo Herrera Medina raised with the {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and was called by Gytis Juskevicius from one seat over, Joaquim Marques also called on the button with the {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

On the {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, the stacks went in between Marques with the bottom set and the gutshot and nut flush draw of Herrera Medina.

The {9-Hearts} turn provided the flush and the {j-Clubs} river ended the run of Marques in 11th place.

Timothee Marlin Eliminated in 12th Place (€8,700)

Level 41 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Timothee Marlin
Timothee Marlin

One more hand on the outer tables was played and it brought a duel between short stack Timothee Marlin in the big blind and Pablo Herrera Medina from under the gun.

With one quarter of his short stack already invested to the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} river, Marlin checked and had some 1,850,000 behind. Herrera Medina bet 2,000,000 and that sent Marlin into the tank. He eventually called it off and the Spaniard turned over the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for rivered two pair.

That was good, as Marlin sighed and exposed his {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a hero call gone wrong. The Frenchman became the 12th place finisher and there will now be a longer break of more than half an hour for the redraw of the last two tables.

Adriano Abbracciavento Eliminated in 13th Place (€8,700)

Level 41 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Adriano Abbracciavento
Adriano Abbracciavento

One hand after his last double up, Adriano Abbracciavento jammed out of the small blind and Hugues Mazerolle snap-called from the big blind.

Adriano Abbracciavento: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Hugues Mazerolle: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop left the Belgian in desperate shape and the {9-Diamonds} turn sealed his fate, making the {8-Spades} river a formality. There will now be a redraw for the final two tables.

Abbracciavento on Fumes After Tussle With Juskevicius

Level 41 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Gytis Juskevicius
Gytis Juskevicius

Gytis Juskevicius raised and then called all-in for near even stack sizes when Adriano Abbracciavento pushed from one seat over.

Gytis Juskevicius: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Adriano Abbracciavento: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and the stacks were counted. Juskevicius doubled for 6,325,000 and that left his opponent with exactly one blind.

In the next hand, Abbracciavento was all-in from under the gun and Angel Rodriguez Sanchez limped the small blind, Juskevicius raised from the big blind and isolated.

Adriano Abbracciavento: {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Gytis Juskevicius: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board ensured the quadruple up for the Belgian.

He then ended up all-in from the big blind for 750,000 one hand later after Angel Rodriguez Sanchez had raised the button and called the few chips more.

Adriano Abbracciavento: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}
Angel Rodriguez Sanchez: {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board ensured another double for the Belgian.

Valentin Oberhauser
Valentin Oberhauser

Valentin Oberhauser was never able to run up his stack despite a short stack double with kings versus fives in the first hand after the three table redraw.

He then jammed a {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and was instantly called by Adrian Garcia Marin from the next seat.

Valentin Overhauser: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Adrian Garcia Marin: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The gutshot to a superior straight never came on the {7-Diamonds} turn and {a-Diamonds} river to eliminate Oberhauser in 14th place for
