Jussi Heikela Eliminated in 6th Place (€16,600)

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Jussi Heikela
Jussi Heikela

Exactly one hand later, Jussi Heikela three-bet shoved out of the small blind for around 790,000 chips and initial raiser David Hefner made a quick call with the superior stack.

Hefner: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Heikela: {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The Finn picked up a gutshot on the {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, however there was no further help on the {K-Hearts} turn and the {Q-Spades} river. Within two consecutive hands, the field had been reduced from seven to five hopefuls only and the next payout already guarantees €20,800.

Loic Francois

A few hands after losing the big flip, Loic Francois was forced all in out of the big blind for his last 35,000 chips. Florian Ferroni opened to 120,000 from the button and that isolated successfully.

Ferroni: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Francois: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and the kicker played, sending Francois to the rail in 7th place for €13,800.

Francois Crippled

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Florian Ferroni shoved all in for 795,000 with the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Loic Francois reshoved from two seats over on the button, holding the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Francois lost the flip on a board of {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and had two antes left.

The last few chips went in one hand later with the {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and David Hefner in the big blind was unable to knock out the Frenchman with {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, as the {K-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board provided the necessary help.

Very Tight Fold by Ferroni

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Florian Ferroni called a raise to 110,000 by David Hefner with the {8-Spades}{7-Spades} and then folded a flop of {Q-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} to a continuation bet, the Swede had found bottom set with the {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

Then, Ferroni opened to 110,000 from the cutoff with just the {J-Diamonds} showing and called a three-bet to 240,000 by Karl Stark to see a flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{K-Spades}. The Frenchman check-folded to a bet worth 195,000 and the screens showed a second jack going into the muck ... . Stark was holding {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Hefner Takes Some

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Florian Ferroni won a small pot with {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} after betting the turn with his top pair and even stole the blinds shortly after when opening the {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Then chip leader Karl Stark got frisky by three-betting the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} against Julien Sitbon and another interesting hand folloed.

David Hefner opened to 105,000 from under the gun and Ferroni flat-called from the hijack with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Hefner found top pair with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} on the {6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and continued for 95,000. Ferroni called the continuation bet and then gave up the {10-Hearts} turn to a second barrel of the Swede.

Pierre Antona

Jussi Heikela opened to 135,000 from the button with {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Pierre Antona moved all in from the small blind with the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Joachim Kleiven called all in for slightly less chips than the Frenchman with {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Heikela mucked.

The board ran out {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Antona was left with very few chips. Two hands later he got the remaining 105,000 in with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. He got called by chip leader Karl Stark with the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and the Swede got there on a board of {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The action folded to start-of-the-day chip leader Fred Weiss in the small blind and he moved all in. Julien Sitbon asked for a count and eventually made the call to put Weiss at risk for his last 635,000 in the seventh hand of the official final table.

Sitbon: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Weiss: {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts} flop confirmed the lead for Sitbon. Weiss was drawing dead after the {2-Clubs} turn and the {3-Hearts} river only a formality.
