In the 850th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by Global Poker, Chad Holloway, Mike Holtz, and Kyna England are at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to talk about Allen Kessler's massive $1.2 million jackpot win on a slot machine at Thunder Valley, which is currently playing host to the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS). How long did Kessler have to play and how much did he have to spend to hit it? Will he take the 20-year annual installments or the discounted lump sum? And will he do anything with his newfound fortune?
Players in Day 1b of the Main Event are heading for a 15-minute break. There are now just 41 players remaining and 30 are set to make Day 2.
Allan Dyrstad open raised from early position, Christian Choca Archinaut called in the small blind and Gareth Devereux moved all in from the big blind with a short stack of 18,500. Dyrstad flat called the shove before Archinaut pushed all in over the top for around 75,000.
Dyrstad laid down his hand to leave two players in the pot. Devereux and Archinaut flipped their cards, with Devereux at risk.
Gareth Devereux: A♥Q♠
Christian Choca Archinaut: A♠J♥
The board ran out Q♣10♣7♦K♦A♣. Devereux paired his queen on the flop, but Archinaut made a backdoor straight on the turn to win the pot. Devereux was eliminated as the bubble draws closer.

The turn came the 5♥ and Johnson checked. Spragg bet 14,000, which Johnson called. The river was the 9♣ and Johnson checked again. The waiter brought over a glass of rose, but Spragg was in the zone as she moved all in for 37,000.
