UKIPT leaderboard winner David Docherty raised to 1,100 and picked up a call from the player on the button before Ankit Ahuja, fresh off a third place finish in the High Roller today, reraised to 5,600 from the small blind. Docherty made the call and the button folded.

The flop came 454. Ahuja made a continuation bet of 3,500 and Docherty raised to 8,500. Ahuja took his time before moving all in. Docherty quickly called for 22,500 and players flipped their cards.

Docherty had pocket tens and Ahuja had a backdoor straight draw with overcards to the board. Still, Docherty was well ahead.

The turn came the K and the river was the 7. Docherty held to win the pot and left Ahuja with just 4,000 chips left behind.

The flop came J67. Urbonas checked and Gormley put out a bet of 3,000. Fraser folded and Urbonas made the call.

The turn was the 5 and both players checked. The river came the 4. Urbonas bet 12,000, around three-quarters of the pot. Gormley went into the tank before eventually mucking his hand. Urbonas took down a decent pot early.

PokerStars UKIPT Returns To Edinburgh, Main Event Starts Today

The PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) has returned to Scotland for the first time in eight years. The UKIPT Edinburgh runs October 24-29 at Genting Casino Fountain Park. Today's schedule includes Day 1a of the £1,100 Main Event, which kicks off at 2 p.m. local time.

Players in the Main Event will start the tournament with a stack of 30,000 chips. Blind levels will run for 40 minutes and start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.

There are three starting flights and a maximum of three entries per flight will be allowed, with late registration open until the start of Level 11. Day 1a will play down to 15 percent of the field, who will all make it through to Day 2 and into the money.

Recently, PokerStars Team Pro player Benjamin Spragg finished first in the 2023 UKIPT Brighton Main Event, earning his first series title and £69,120. In the latest UKIPT held in London, Dylan Bradley of Newcastle emerged as the outright winner to earn £71,650 in prize money and the PokerStars trophy.

A new UKIPT champion will be crowned on Sunday night.

There will also be plenty of off-felt activities to take part in, include bowling on Friday evening, mini golf on Sunday afternoon and Players Party on Saturday night
