Kenney Almost Doubles; Cates Doubles Through Aido

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Dan Cates
Dan Cates

Devan Tang raised to 80,000 and Bryn Kenney defended his big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, both players checked. Kenney check-called a bet worth 100,000 by Tang on the {5-Hearts} turn and checked again the {2-Hearts} river.

Tang bet 220,000 and Kenney moved all in for 340,000 in total. That left Tang with a headache and he folded after more than one minute of consideration. "That one you have to show," Dan Cates joked. "Well, if it was a bluff," Kenney replied and Tang joked "you would show if it was him."

Soon after, towards the the end of the level, Sergio Aido raised from the cutoff and Cates shoved from the big blind. Aido asked for a count and the all in was for 760,000, which Aido called.

Dan Cates: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Sergio Aido: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Cates doubled.
