Cao Starts Hot; Badziakouski Cools Him Off

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

David Peters raised to 2,500 and Yu Liang called in the big blind. The duo checked the {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, and Liang check-called a bet worth 2,200 on the {Q-Clubs} turn. On the {10-Hearts} river, both checked again and Liang announced king-high, Peters scooped the pot with {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

Then, Peters raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Rui Cao called in the big blind. On the {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, neither player bet. Cao then made it 4,500 to go on the {K-Clubs} turn and Peters called before the {J-Hearts} river was checked through again. Cao showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a straight and won the pot.

One hand later, Cao raised to 3,500 from the small blind and Mikita Badziakouski called in the big blind. The flop fell {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Cao's continuation bet of 3,000 was called. On the {A-Spades} turn, Cao checked and Badziakouski fired 20,000. That resulted in a smile and headshaking of Cao, who quickly let go.
