Always Show

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi raised to 65,000 from the cutoff, and Mikita Badziakouski reraised all in from the small blind. Shakerchi thought for a few moments, then mucked his cards.

"I always show," Badziakouski said as he turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for the table to see.

Phua and Shakerchi Swap Places

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi limped in from the small blind and big blind Paul Phua checked his option.

Shakerchi bet 35,000 on {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Phua called. Shakerchi checked the {Q-Spades} on the turn and called the 85,000 bet his neighbor made.

With the {7-Hearts} completing the board, Shakerchi checked again. Phua bet 150,000 and Shakerchi instantly folded.

Two Shoves, Two Pots for Phua

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Paul Phua shoved all-in on the first two hands of the level. The first time no one was remotely interested in calling, but on the second Zuo Wang wanted a count (it was 455,000 total). He tanked for a while and even showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} to try and get a reaction (which is against tournament rules) but he eventually folded.

Mikita Badziakouski Doubles Through Talal Shakerchi

Level 12 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi raised to 50,000 from the button, and Mikita Badziakouski called from the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Badziakouski thought for a minute, then announced he's all in for 148,000. Shakerchi quickly called.

Shakerchi: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Badziakouski: {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Badziakouski was ahead with his pair of nines, but Shakerchi had two overcards and a flush draw.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and the river the {j-Spades}. Shakerchi got no help, and Badziakouski doubled up.

Dan Shak Eliminated by Cary Katz

Level 11 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

From early position Dan Shak moved all-in for what looked to be around 230,000, Cary Katz re-raised all-in and everyone else folded.

"You got a pair?" asked Katz.

"No," replied Shak as he showed {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

He was in trouble as Katz had {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The dominating hand held on the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{8-Spades} board and Shak made his way to the exit.
