Alexis Rozenblat opened to 14,000 from the hijack, Philippe Ktorza three-bet all-in for 76,000 from the big blind and Rozenblat called.
Philippe Ktorza: 8♠8♣
Alexis Rozenblat: K♠K♦
Ktorza flopped a set on 8♦3♠10♦6♦5♣ to secure a double up. "I deserve it," Ktorza said while doubling up. "Congratulation for your new cash in a tournament," Jeremy Palvini laughted from the other side of the table.
Moments after he lost the pot against Ticherfatine, Julien Breuil on the button three-bet to 145,000. Guillaume Tricoire, who opened to 15,000 from under the gun, jammed for a total of 136,000.
Guillaume Tricoire: A♦K♦
Julien Breuil: A♠Q♦
Breuil flopped top pair on Q♠5♣8♠7♠4♣ to send Tricoire to the rail. At the same time, Antonin Teisseire was eliminated from another table.
After Omar Lakhdari's elimination, Cécile Ticherfatine raised to 12,000 from the hijack. She was called by both players in the blinds.
The dealer fanned a flop of J♥8♠4♣ and Ticherfatine continued for 15,000. Julien Breuil in the small blind was the only one to call.
Both players checked the 10♣ turn leading to the 8♣ river where Ticherfatine bet 35,000. Breuil eventually check-called, but sent his cards into the muck when he saw Ticherfatine's Q♠J♣.
Jérémy Palvini opened to 10,000 from middle position and he was called by Alexis Rozenblat on the button and by the big blind.
All three of them checked the 4♠K♥8♥ flop leading to the 3♠ turn where Palvini bet 28,000. Rozenblat called, but the big blind check-folded.
The 5♠ completed the board and Palvini asked for 80,000. Rozenblat went deep into the tank and called. "Bravo", Palvini said while revealing A♠10♣. Rozenblat had 9♥9♠.
2024 6-max French Champion Alexis Nicolai in the cutoff found himself at risk for roughly 130,000 against Rachid El Yaacoubi to his right.
Alexis Nicolai: A♦10♠
Rachid El Yaacoubi: Q♥8♥
"I knew you had nothing," Nicolai said while flipping over his cards. However on A♥K♥7♠6♣2♥, El Yaacoubi hit a flush to eliminate Nicolai and take the chip lead.
