Seiver Seizes Control

Level 21 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #114: Connor Drinan raised to 250,000 from the button and Brian Rast called from the big blind. The {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop saw Rast check-call a bet of 350,000, and the {j-Spades} peeled off on the turn. Rast checked for a second time, and Drinan followed suit to see the {4-Hearts} river. Rast checked, Drinan bet 500,000, and Rast called. Drinan tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Rast mucked.

Hand #115: Rast limped the small blind, Seiver checked his option, and the flop fell {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Rast check-called a bet of 225,000, the {6-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, and Rast check-called another bet, this time 455,000. When the {K-Spades} completed the board on the river, Rast checked and Seiver slid out 1.1 million. Rast paused for a minute or two and check-raised to 2.875 million.

"I have a huge hand man," Seiver said to Rast, who sat in silence. "I don't think I can fold this."

Indeed, Seiver called and tabled the {8-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a turned straight. It was good as Rast's hand was sent to the muck.

Hand #116: Rast raised to 260,000 from the button, Seiver called from the small blind, and Drinan called from the big to see a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Seiver led out for 550,000, Drinan folded, and Rast raised to what looked like 1.3 million. Seiver checked the {4-Hearts} turn, Rast moved all in for 3.23 million. Seiver asked for a count, let out a big sigh, and began to shuffle some chips. He itched his chin, tilted his head, and then flicked his cards to the muck.

Hand #117: Seiver raised to 280,000 on the button, Rast three-bet to 700,000 from the big blind, and Seiver folded.

Hand #118: Drinan raised to 260,000 from the button only to have Seiver shove all in from the big blind. Drinan folded.

Hand #119: Rast raised to 250,000 from the button, Drinan called, and the flop came down {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Drinan checked, Rast bet 275,000, and Drinan folded.

Seiver: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Kuznetov: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Seiver was well ahead with a set, but the {Q-Diamonds} turn gave Kuznetsov a straight draw. However, the {6-Diamonds} river was no help and Kuznetsov's tournament ended in fourth place.

"I'm Sure That One is Going to Make TV"

Level 21 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #105: Connor Drinan limped the small blind and Timofey Kuznetsov exercised his option in the big with a raise to 275,000. Drinan responded by moving all in and Kuznetsov quickly folded. This was the last hand at the 50,000/100,000 level.

Hand #106: In the first hand of the new level, Scott Seiver raised to 260,000 under the gun and that was enough to win the pot.

Hand #107: Brian Rast limped the small blind, Seiver checked the big, and the flop came down {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Rast bet 150,000, Seiver called, and the {K-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Rast bet again, this time 225,000, and Seiver called. The {5-Spades} river saw Rast fire out 675,000, and Seiver popped it to 1.9 million. Rast hit the tank for a couple of minutes before laying down his hand.

"After this tournament is over, I'd love to hear that one," said Rast. "I'm sure that one is going to make TV."

Hand #108: Rast opened for 265,000 from the button, Drinan called from the big blind, and the flop fell {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Two checks brought the {a-Hearts} on the turn, and Drinan led out for 300,000. Rast called and the {K-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Drinan checked and Rast did the same. The former turned over the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a rivered pair of kings, and it was good as Rast sent his cards to the muck.
