Sardini Has Bitton's Number

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

David Ng raised to 95,000 from under the gun and Sugen Singh three-bet in the big blind to what appeared to be 265,000. Ng four-bet to 1,100,000 and Singh folded the JJ face-up.

Roy Bitton then opened to 100,000 in the cutoff and Gavin Sardini called on the button. The A54 flop saw Bitton continue for 100,000 and Sardini's raise to 250,000 took it down.

"Got your number," Norman Cherry grinned.

The final day has come here in South Africa and the 2024 SunBet Poker Tour Time Square Main Event will conclude today with the biggest slice of the ZAR5,266,800 ($281,989) prize pool up for grabs at the Time Square Casino in Pretoria.

The newest live poker series in partnership between the Monster Jam Poker Tour (MJPT) and Sun International Group drew a field of 418 entries for the Main Event, which features a buy-in of ZAR15,000 (~$790). Mostly filled with local players, it comes as no surprise that eleven of the 12 finalists represent the host country when a winner is crowned as of 11 a.m. local time today.

Cash game player Keegan Pillay skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard in the final level last night and returns with 2,790,000, followed by Roy Bitton (2,650,000) and David Ng from Mauritius (2,045,000).

Second on South Africa's all-time money list Jarred Solomon sits in sixth place on the leaderboard with 1,690,000 in chips and is likely the most experience finalist. Other notables still in contention include Danny Dayani, Sugen Singh, Gavin Sardini and Edgar Antezana.
