Van der Spoel Chips Up

Gerrit van der Spoel raised to 125,09090 with the K♠10♠ and was called by Mariette Language in the cutoff {Q♥8♥), Harold Brooks in the small blind (A♠7♣) and Patrice Ah-Nien in the big blind with the 7♠5♣.

The K♦Q♠4♦ flop was checked to van der Spoel and he bet 250,000 with his top pair. Language folded second pair as did everyone else.

Van der Spoel then limped the 7♥7♣ and Adam Woolf finally got involved again with a raise to 160,000 in the next seat, holding the 9♠9♣. The call by van der Spoel followed and he spiked the one outer on the Q♦10♣7♦ flop.

Van der Spoel checked and Woolf bet 220,000, the check-shove for 1,470,000 by van der Spoel shut down Woolf.

Banks Solomons had previously three-bet with pocket kings to chip up and then opened to 160,000 with the A♠J♠. KM called in the big blind with 10♠9♠ and improved on the 9♣8♥2♣ flop on which KM check-raised from 125,000 to 335,000.

After short consideration, Solomons folded.

Zackey bet the 10♦ turn for 150,000 to get called and they checked the K♣ river for Zackey to win the pot with his ace kicker.
