Welcome to Day 1 of SCOOP-110-H: $5,200 PLO [6-Max, High Roller]

SCOOP 2020
SCOOP 2020

The home stretch of the extended 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) schedule has been reached and the penultimate Pot-Limit Omaha high stakes tournament is looking for a winner within the next two days in SCOOP-110-H: $5,200 PLO [6-Max, High Roller].

Right at the start of the festival, UK's "rickv17" earned a SCOOP title in a 6-max PLO high stakes buy-in and Ole "wizowizo" Schemion followed soon after. The record-breaking surge of Connor "blanconegro" Drinan included two PLO victories in quick succession and Patrick "pads1161" Leonard then added a PLO8 title to his poker resume.

Drinan won his third PLO title in SCOOP 75-H: $10,300 PLO Main Event after topping a field of 159 entries while Nicholas "niccc" Chouity came out on top of the M-tier which attracted a field of 1,112 entries. In the 2nd Chance edition, Timothy "TruthBeTold7" Rutherford won the title in the M-tier while Andrew "ClockWyze" Pantling topped a field of 167 entries in the H-tier for a payday of $169,239.47.

Many of the usual suspects and four-card lovers are expected to take a shot in this event and Day 1 kicks off at 2.15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The late registration will be available for the first 4h45 of play and all participants can re-enter up to two times during the registration period.

All players start with 100,000 in chips, good enough for 200 big blinds at 250-500 in the first level of the day. The first 36 levels all last 20 minutes whereas the duration then increases to 30 minutes each as of level 37. Day 1 will play down to the money and all survivors then return the following day as of 2.15 p.m. EST to determine a champion. The PokerNews team will provide conclusive updates from start to finish.
