Ferreira Busts Early On

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira raised to 102,722 from under the gun and was called by "DEX888" as well as short stack "Poeira4" in the big blind. On a {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, "Poeira4" check-jammed for 446,533 when Ferreira had checked and "DEX888" bet 125,000. Ferreira moved all-in himself and was snap-called.

"Poeira4": {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
"DEX888": {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

The {5-Clubs} turn and {q-Clubs} river let "Poeira4" triple up while Ferreira was eliminated.

Hasson Busts Campana

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

After more than half an hour of play, the first elimination eventually took place and the outcome very much reminded of the late stages of Day 1 when Gary "quiditbear" Hasson had a draw and some other outs to send an opponent to the rail.

Eder "edercampana" Campana defended his big blind against a cutoff raise by Hasson and check-raised the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop to 600,000 with very few chips behind. Hasson pushed the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Campana called with {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top pair.

The {4-Spades} gave Hasson further outs to a straight and the {a-Spades} river instead provided the superior pair.

More Double Ups Incoming

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Eder "edercampana" Campana escaped from elimination when his {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} chopped with fellow countryman Thiago "KKremate" Crema's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} on a {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} board.

Gary "quiditbear" Hasson then took on "boerni21" once more with {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} versus {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop improved Hasson but the {4-Clubs} turn and {8-Hearts} river let "boerni21" double once more.

"calculer_" doubled through "FourSixFour" after they got it in on a {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop. The former had check-raised the {7-Spades}{5-Spades} and called it off while "FourSixFour" held {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for top pair and top kicker. The turn was he {8-Clubs} and the {3-Spades} river delivered the flush.

"zazano" also doubled through Hasson when he remained ahead with {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} versus {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, dodging the set and straight outs on a {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board.

Double for Mortensen; Hit for East

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Morten "-MortenVM-" Mortensen had dropped to just over half a million in chips after going through the blinds and was then all-in from the button with the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. "FourSixFour" looked him up with {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for yet another suited ace but the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board kept Mortensen in contention.

Jareth "jareth3542" East defended his big blind against the raise of "rickv17" from under the gun and check-called three barrels with the turn and river bet on a {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} board being worth 240,000 and 520,000 respectively. "rickv17" tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for top two and scooped the 1.9 million chip pot as the first full level on the final day drew to an end.

More for "girafganger7"; Quads for "boerni21"

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
quads for boerni21
quads for boerni21

Gary "quiditbear" Hasson opened from early position and four-bet jammed into a reraise worth 280,000 by "boerni21" on the button, who had invested most of his stack.

"boerni21" made the call with {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and was dominated by Hasson who held the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

However, the board came {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} to give "boerni21" quads.

In the meanwhile, "girafganger7" has pulled further ahead with a successful check-raise against "wisopekeno!" on a {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop.

"m.a-0000" Doubles Through Mortensen

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Morten "-MortenVM-" Mortensen won the first pot of the day on his table but then took a hit for half of his stack when h was flipping with Canada's "m.a-0000".

Mortensen held {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and faced the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} of "m.a-0000" who got there on the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} runout.

A few hands later, "Garrin4e" got it in from under the gun as the shortest stack with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and "calculer_" called in the big blind with {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board secured the next double up.

More for Crema and Campana

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The remaining minute of the previous level brought no major pot and Gary "quiditbear" Hasson then got involved in a three-way pot with initial raiser Thiago "KKremate" Crema and "zazano". They checked the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} turn and Hasson bet more than the pot on the {4-Hearts} river. Krema called and caught Hasson bluffing with {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, claiming the pot with {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Shortly after, Eder "edercampana" Campana pushed his short stack and was called two ways. Crema jammed over the top to force a fold from the other two players involved including Hasson and chopped with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} versus {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} on a {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board to add chips, Campana also doubled as a result.

Belgian poker player "girafganger7", who has already cashed for more than $7.4 million in MTT's on PokerStars, will lead the charge with a stack of 5,903,984, followed by Gary "quiditbear" Hasson (5,245,498), Jareth "jareth3542" East (4,548,537), "DEX888" (3,882,161) and "SinKarma" (2,716,236).

Also in contention for a SCOOP title are notables such as Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira (1,921,915), "Pimmss" (1,641,744), Thiago "KKremate" Crema (1,489,228), Morten "-MortenVM-" Mortensen (1,153,017), 2020 SCOOP two-time champion Ilya "Leqenden" Anatsky (745,454) and Eder "edercampana" Campana (340,282).

The action will recommence at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and only a handful of minutes remain in Level 24 at blinds of 17,500/35,000 and a running ante of 4,500 before immediately increasing to 20,000/40,000 with a 5,000 ante. For now, the level duration remains at 20 minutes each and will go up to 30 minutes each as of level 37. After each hour of play, all remaining contenders will receive an additional 10 seconds for their time bank and the nine finalists are granted 90 seconds on top.

Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to find out who will become the latest SCOOP champion in the hours to come.
