Rachel Sawyer, who happens to be wearing the same outfits as RunGood's own Hayley Hochstetler, opened to 3,000 in middle position and the big blind three-bet jammed a stack of 19,500 in the big blind. Sawyer called with a bigger stack.
Big Blind: 7♦7♠
Rachel Sawyer: A♥10♣
Sawyer took the lead with a pair of tens on the flop of 10♠3♠2♠, but the 5♠ river gave the big blind a lock on things with a flush before the A♦ river confirmed his double. It was a short-lived victory as the player's seat was seen empty a few minutes later.
The RunGood Poker Series continues taking Destination RunGood on the road, with 7 more exciting stops to come through the first half of 2024.
“Destination RunGood is more than just a theme; it's an invitation for players to experience poker as a way to explore the country,” said RGPS CEO Tana Karn. “We've carefully curated the Spring Season to deliver excitement, camaraderie, and unparalleled competition."
This week’s stop marks a return to Joplin, ahead of visits to Council Bluffs, Reno and St. Louis in late April.
The tour's final swing will take it to Bay Area-favorite Graton Casino and then Kansas City before the Season Finale at Thunder Valley in July.

Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards is a new podcast for PokerNews that focuses on poker players with successful careers and lives outside of poker.
For the second episode, Connor Richards spoke with reality TV actress Princess Love, who opened up for the first time about her high-profile divorce from R&B star Ray J. Love also spoke about poker filling a void in her life, her Celebrity Poker Tour victory earlier this year and her experience on the WPT Voyage.
The hand of the tournament took place at Table 31 and undoubtedly left the players wishing they were at a cash table. Jared Swinger was all in preflop for around 40,000 against a player two seats to his left, who had him covered.
Jared Swinger: K♥J♥
Opponent: A♣A♦
Swinger had run into aces but miraculously flopped the joint as the dealer fanned Q♥10♦A♥ to give him Broadway with a redraw to an elusive Royal Flush. Meanwhile, his opponent had flopped a set of aces and was looking for a fourth ace or for the board to pair.
The board did indeed pair on the turn, but it was the single card in the deck the opponent didn't want to see, the 10♥ to give Swinger a Royal Flush. The K♣ river was a formality and the opponent shook it off and took a breather as Swinger grinned head to toe over his good fortune.
The RunGood Poker Series is bigger than ever in 2024 and they are supporting the massive growth of the mid-major series with the rollout of the Official RunGood Rewards App.
The app is your home for schedules, event photos, and an opportunity for players to stack rewards points for visiting RunGood stops and playing in events.
