"anonymstruts" Out and Back In

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante
anonymstruts vs ili-5 kenobi
anonymstruts vs ili-5 kenobi

After defending the big blind against an under-the-gun raise by "ili-5 kenobi", "anonymstruts" check-raised the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop to 4,000 and called a reraise to 11,500. The {5-Diamonds} turn saw them check-call another 22,000 and "anonymstruts" check-called all-in after the {6-Spades} river with the inferior stack.

"ili-5 kenobi" tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for top set and "anonymstruts" hit the rail with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} to re-enter almost immediately into the same seat.

Hand Joins the Action

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

PokerStars ambassador Fintan "easywithaces" Hand has joined the action and lost a chunk of his stack in a battle with "BadBeatPls". Hand defended the big blind against a min-raise and check-called a bet of 1,789 on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} flop to then check-call the {4-Clubs} turn for another 4,400.

On the {3-Hearts} river, Hand checked once more and "BadBeatPls" bet 11,200 to win the pot uncontested.

"queen497" Takes It on the Turn

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

The action kicked off with an open raise to 1,250 by "queen497" from under the gun and they were called by "Pijany Jany" and "SiSSy&LOVE" in the big blind. On a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, "SiSSy&LOVE" check-raised to 9,056 and "queen497" reraised to 21,572 to force out "Pijany Jany".

One call followed as the {3-Hearts} followed on the turn, on which ""SiSSy&LOVE"" check-folded to a bet for almost half the pot.

Mateos Takes an Early Hit

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

Seated on a table with Henri "Buehlero" Buehler, Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos was involved in the action right away and three-bet an open raise to 5,000, which "timetopop87" called. They checked down the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board and Mateos was shown the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a turned set to lose a portion of his stack.

On the same table, "LettuceIsGreat" then chipped up when they turned a flush with {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} on a board of {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} to get paid by "ROUNDSKY".

2020 WCOOP
2020 WCOOP

The next Super Sunday of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) 2020 provides further opportunities for poker enthusiasts from all over the world to take a shot at becoming the next WCOOP champion. At 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), WCOOP-48-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Slam] will get underway and comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000.

More than 360 players are signed up 90 minutes prior to the start and the late registration for this progressive knockout tournament will be available for 4 hours and 45 minutes of play. During that time, up to three re-entries are available to each participant if they should run out of their 100,000 starting stack entirely.

The first level will feature blinds of 250/500 and a running ante of 60, giving all early entries 200 big blinds at their disposal. The PKO format will see $250 go towards the cash prize pool and $250 will be added to the bounty prize pool, of which at least $125 will be awarded for each player eliminated.

Similar to previous Medium events of the 2020 WCOOP, this tournament will play down to a winner on three days and Day 1 will break after 7 hours and 45 minutes. Day 2 then resumes the following day at 1.05 p.m. EST to play down to the final 16 players, who return on Tuesday, September 15th, to determine a champion.
