Hager Gets a Scary Board

Action was opened in late position by Michael Hager to 3,000. He got a call from the cutoff and the big blind.

The 10♠J♣Q♦ flop hit the felt and the big blind checked to Hager who bet 4,000. The cutoff called and the big blind folded.

The K♥ landed on the turn putting a four-liner to a straight on the board. Both players checked.

The 6♥ landed on the river and action quickly checked through. Hager tabled K♣10♣ and his opponent mucked.

Hager scooped a healthy pot with two pair on a risky board.

Masarweh Wins the Flip

Action was opened by Karim Masarweh under the gun to 2,100. Bin Weng called and then a player went all in from late position to to 21,000. The rest of the players folded and action was back on Masarweh who also went all in. Weng folded and they were off to a full board heads up.

Virk Has Tough River Decision

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was opened under the gun by John Ripnick to 2,500. Only Arshdeep Virk in the small blind and the big blind called.

The 4♠8♥7♠ landed on the flop and the blinds checked to Ripnick who continued for 3,500. Only Virk called.

The turn brought a K♥ and Virk checked again. Ripnick put out another bet of 11,000. Virk called.

The 8♠ landed on the river and Virk checked once more. Ripnick sat in the tank for over a minute before putting out a large bet to the tune of 45,000.

Virk was in the blender. He took his time and appeared to be going back and forth on a call. Eventually his chips made it into the middle.

Ripnick tabled Q♦10♠ for a triple barrel bluff and Virk tabled 5♠2♠ for a rivered flush. Virk dragged the pot but both players are still very healthy when it comes to chip count.

Nerenberg Gets the Double

Action was opened in middle position to 3,200. The next player to act was Gregory Nerenberg who went all in for 13,700 and his tournament life. Action made it back to the original raiser who called and the cards hit their backs.

Ripnick Can't Get Action in Four-Bet Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was opened under the gun to 3,500. It then folded to a player in middle position who three-bet to 10,000. It then folded to John Ripnick in the cutoff who put in the cold four-bet to 24,000. The players folded back to the three-bettor and she put in the chips for a call.

The 8♠Q♠3♦ flop hit the felt and action surprisingly checked through to an A♣ turn. It got checked to Ripnick again who quickly checked back.

The river landed a 4♦ and once more it was checked to Ripnick. This time he went for a bet to the tune of 24,000. His opponent thought over her options but eventually folded.

We may never know if Ripnick missed out on value or got a bluff through.
