Sigel Forces Out Rebei
Level 17
: 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
The action started with a raise to 18,000 by Jules Ayoub and Karim Rebei called from two seats over. Jan Sigel had other plans and squeezed to 67,000, which forced out Ayoub. Rebei reraised to 147,000 for more than half of his remaining stack and Sigel asked to see his stack size before announcing all in.
Rebei was sent into the think tank and the clock was called on him. "I know I have a better hand than you, but I don't like to flip," the Algerian said. The one minute ran down and Rebei folded with three seconds remaining. Sigel claimed the pot to retake the lead after Johannes Schulze had taken over the top spot in the first few minutes after coming back from the break.
