Kenney Runs Kings Into Aces

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney's first bullet in this tournament came up short after running kings into aces. It was Javier Gomez Zapatero who had cold four-bet to 8,000 preflop after some earlier action.

Kenney five-bet shoved 48,725 with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Gomez had him covered with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. A low board meant a re-entry for Kenney.

Selbst Missing; Thorel Takes on Kenney

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

The seat of Vanessa Selbst was filled by Joao Simao and Erik Seidel, as well as Javier Gomez Zapatero, confirmed the elimination of Selbst before the break. Short-stacked, the PokerStars Team Pro four-bet shoved with nines into the tens of Gomez Zapatero and found no help.

Just now after the break, Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 1,500 and Bryn Kenney three-bet to 3,000 from the button and Thorel called. On the {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Thorel check-called a bet worth 2,000 before the {A-Spades} went check, check. After the {4-Diamonds} river, Thorel bet 2,000 and Kenney called - Thorel flashed {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and scooped the pot.

Patrik Antonius (in the Main Event)
Patrik Antonius (in the Main Event)

Monaco resident Patrik Antonius sat down and instantly took some chips from EPT13 Malta winner Aliaksei Boika. It was Boika who bet 1,800 on a {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and Antonius check-called.

After both players checked the {4-Hearts} on the turn, Antonius checked the {9-Clubs} river to Boika. The Belarusian bet 4,500 and Antonius snapped it off.

Boika showed {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} for ace high and Antonius tabled the winner with {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.
