Albert Daher, Steve O'Dwyer on his second bullet, Christopher Kruk, Thomas Muehloecker and Oleksii Khoroshenin are the next players to join the field and bump the total entries to 33.
Dietrich Fast raised to 5,500 on the button and Igor Yaroshevskyy three-bet to 20,000 out of the small blind. Bryn Kenney in the big blind gave both a stare down and four-bet all in with some five seconds left on his shot clock. Fast quickly got out of the way and Yaroshevskyy also folded as well.
Soon after it was Mikalai Vaskaboinikau that raised to 4,000 and he was called by Yaroshevskyy on the button. Both players checked the flop, Vaskaboinikau bet the turn for 5,000 and Yaroshevskyy called. After the river, both players checked and Vaskaboinikau showed for trips tens as winning hand.
After Dominik Nitsche scooped a small three-way pot on that very table, it was Fast that raised to 4,000. Kenney called on the button and Nick Petrangelo made it 12,000 to go out of the small blind. Fast inquired about the stack size of Petrangelo, who replied "I started with 70 in total," and that prompted the shove of Fast. Kenney folded and Petrangelo immediately smiled, but also let go with a few seconds left on the clock.
The cards of Steve O'Dwyer were all but rushed away with the completed board showing while Timothy Adams had for a full house showing. According to Julian Thomas, the stacks only went in after the river and O'Dwyer had for the inferior full house to bust on his first bullet.
Rocco Palumbo opened under the gun plus one for 3,500 and big blind Ivan Luca called. They both checked on before the hit the turn. Luca bet out 4,500 and Palumbo called.
The completed the board and Luca bet a firm 26,000. Palumbo thought about it for a few seconds before announcing all in. Luca folded almost right away.
Sam Greenwood raised to 4,000 from under the gun and received two callers in Ali Reza Fatehi and Sergio Aido out of the blinds. The duo checked the flop of and Greenwood continued for 4,500, which was called only by Fatehi. After the turn, Fatehi check-called another bet of 11,000 and left himself with around 28,000 to check the river.
Greenwood grabbed into his stack of T-5,000 chips and bet 85,000, no call followed by Fatehi who was left short as a result.
Ivan Luca and Igor Yaroshevskyy are new entries while Timothy Adams bought back in for his second bullet. He was immediately welcomed on the table by Julian Thomas, who three-bet the open raise of Adams from 3,600 to 13,000, and that ended the hand right there.
In a battle of the blinds, Sergio Aido and Sam Greenwood both invested 2,500 each on the flop and the Spaniard then checked the on the turn. Greenwood bet 14,000 out of the big blind and Aido called, before checking again the on the river. Greenwood made it 27,000 to go and his chips had barely touched down at the table when Aido's cards were already in the muck.
Steve O'Dwyer and Bryn Kenney, both strong supporters of this tournament format, were among those to join the action towards the end of the second level. Also in are JC Alvarado, Julian Thomas and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau.
