Ensan Wins Flip Against Stokkan

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Preben Stokkan in the cutoff made it 50,000 to go and Sergio Aido called on the button. Kfir Ivgi in the small blind seemed interested but folded, while Hossein Ensan in the big blind moved all in. The shove was for 567,000 and Stokkan jammed over the top to force out Aido.

Hossein Ensan: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Preben Stokkan: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

"Good luck my friend," Ivgi said to Ensan and added "good luck to you also" towards Stokkan. The board came {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Ensan spiked a jack to double in the last hand of the level.

Emelyanov Takes More From Petleshkov

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Roman Emelyanov raised to 55,000 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 145,000 from Viliyan Petleshkov on the button. Emelyanov checked the {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, Petleshkov bet 135,000 and the Russian check-raised to 375,000.

Visibly annoyed, Petleshkov asked how much the raise was, then folded his hand shortly after. Two hands later, Petleshkov open-shoved 23bb in middle position to pick up the blinds and antes.

"That's an Angry Call"

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Soon after losing the hand against Danny Tang, Kfir Ivgi got involved again and raised it up to 50,000, prompting a call from Orpen Kisacikoglu. The flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} was checked by both and Kisacikoglu's bet of 80,000 on the {10-Diamonds} turn was called by Ivgi.

On the {K-Clubs} river, Kisacikoglu announced a bet of 140,000 and Ivgi gave it some thought before calling.

Kisacikoglu flashed {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Ivgi tabled {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the better kicker. "Wow what is going on here, is that even possible?" someone asked and Tang chimed in "this table is more fun, we don't like money," he added. JC Alvarado said "that's an angry call" while Ivgi raked in the pot with a big smile.

"Lucky Eight" for Tang

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang opened to 55,000 from the cutoff, Sergio Aido three-bet to 150,000 on the button, Kfir Ivgi cold-called from the small blind and Tang called as well.

On the {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, it got checked to Aido who bet 110,000. Ivgi quickly called and Tang went in the tank. He used one of his time bank chips before announcing all in for a little over 800,000.

Aido folded without hesitation but Ivgi instantly flung in a time bank chip of his own, giving him more time to think. He used a little under a minute before open-folding {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

"Show an eight!" JC Alvarado prompted and Tang complied. He flashed the {8-Hearts} before mucking his hand, prompting laughs from the table.

"Lucky eight," Alvarado laughed.

Heath Takes from Petleshkov

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Viliyan Petleshkov opened the action with a raise to 50,000 from early position and Ben Heath defended the big blind to see a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Heath checked and subsequently check-raised from 50,000 to 140,000, which Petleshkov called. The {J-Clubs} turn went check, check, before Heath double-checked his cards on the {7-Hearts} river.

The Brit then bet 85,000 and Petleshkov folded.

David Peters

David Peters moved all in from the cutoff and Hossein Ensan on the button asked for a count. The shove was for 182,000 and Ensan indeed called. Preben Stokkan in the big blind raised, pushing forward his green T-25,000 chips, and Ensan folded.

David Peters: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Preben Stokkan: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

On the {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop that gave Peters a straight, several players started giggling and the laughs grew some more as the {J-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river run out gave Stokkan a full house. "You are supposed to just call and let him flop top pair," Orpen Kisacikoglu said and Stokkan replied "I was thinking about it."

Despite flopping the nut straight, Peters was eliminated in 15th place and takes home €34,300.
