Zisimopoulos Starts Well

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Nick Petrangelo is the next player to fire a second bullet while Daniel Neilson, John Juanda, Adrian Attenborough and Martin Kozlov entered with the first stack just minutes ago.

Kozlov was seated on a table that included Davidi Kitai, Georgios Zisimopoulos, Mikita Badziakouski and Juicy Li. Badziakouski and Zisimopoulos got into a somewhat interesting pot that ultimately ended with a board of {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Zisimopoulos checked out of the big blind and called a bet worth 15,000 by Badziakouski to see his opponent turn over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, which the Greek had beat with {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for the second nut flush.

Smith Pockets One

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Dan Smith is the aggressor in this particular hand, raising to 2,800 and picking up a caller in JC Alvarado in the big blind.

Alvarado checked the {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop and Smith looked tempted but eventually elected to check it back with just 9 seconds on the clock.

Perhaps sensing weakness Alvarado chose to lead out for 6,500 on the {8-Hearts} turn but Smith called pretty swiftly and the {k-Diamonds} river brings a quick check from Alvardo and Smith checked it right back.

Alvarado turned over {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} which was not enough to beat Smith’s {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and he rakes in the pot.

Re-Entries for Greenwood and Fatehi

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Sam Greenwood busted his first entry with set under set against Artem Metalidi and re-entered immediately only to draw a seat on the very same table again. All players are allowed a single re-entry in the first eight levels until the end of registration.

Another player already on his second bullet is Ali Reza Fatehi. After losing several pots early on, he just called all in for his last 15,000 on the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} turn when Dengfeng Yu bet more than 50,000. Fatehi showed the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for kings and queens with a flush draw, while Yu only had {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the nut flush draw. The {6-Clubs} appeared on the river to give Yu the best hand, and Fatehi left the table with the words "wow, so fast." Fatehi was spotted at the registration desk soon after and already got back in by the time the next level kicked off.

Diamonds Good for Dvoress

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Zhao Hungjun opened the action with a raise to 2,200 from middle position before Ali Reza Fatehi re-popped it to 8,000 from the small blind.

Big blind Daniel Dvoress made a quick call, as did Hongjun to take the action three-way to a flop of {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, which brings a bet of 6,000 from Fatehi, a call from Dvoress and a fold from Hongjun.

Heads-up on the turn, the dealer peels off the {k-Diamonds}, which brings a second barrel from Fatehi, this one a slightly larger 11,500 and Dvoress made the call once more.

The {3-Diamonds} river brings four to a flush and checks from both players. Fatehi turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and looked fairlt nonplussed when Dvoress rolled over his {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} to take the pot.

Up to 22 Entries

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Among those to take their seat soon after were also Vladimir Troyanovskiy and En Ning Chen. They were involved in a small pot with Troyanovskiy as initial raiser from the cutoff and Chen in the big blind. There was barely any action, as the turn and river of a board {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{K-Clubs} was checked down and Chen won the pot with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Hongjun Sets Up Excellent Start

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Cards are in the air and we already have some exciting action. Over on the feature table Iran’s Ali Reza Fatehi opened the action with a raise to 2,200 from middle position and action folded around to Zhao Hongjun in the big blind.

The Chinese player announces raise and pitches in a yellow 5k chip to join the blue 1k chip he already has out on the felt representing his big blind for a bet of 6,000 in total and Fatehi quickly calls.

Hongjun checked the {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop over to Fatehi, who takes a stab for 2,500 only to see the Chinese player check-raise to 6,000 in total. That does not deter Fatehi however, and he makes the call to keep action heads up to the {a-Hearts} turn.

Hongjun now chose to lead out for 13,000 and Fatehi calls fairly swiftly once more and the dealer rolls over the {5-Spades} river. This brings an immediate 25,000 bet from Hongjun and Fatehi thinks it over briefly before tossing in the call. Hongjun turns over {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped set and Fatehi mucks instantly.

Three More Additions; Liang Takes from Wang

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Artem Metalidi, Mikita Badziakouski and Yu Liang all entered very early into level one and the latter started well by taking a pot off Yang Wang. Wang raised to 2,300 from under the gun and Liang asked floor staff how many big blinds everyone starts with, then three-bet to 7,300. Only Wang called and checked the flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}. Liang continued for 7,000 and was called before the {5-Spades} turn went check, check.

Wang then checked the {9-Spades} river and Liang scooped the pot uncontested with a bet worth 15,000.
