We've lost some big names late on here, and there aren't too many bigger than Dan Shak. The master of several High Roller tournaments, who often gravitates towards the bigger buy-in, will have another chance at a big win tomorrow but won't be going any further in the $5,300 Main Event.

Elsewhere on Day 1a, Charlie Carrel has been up and down since finishing second in the $100,000 Super High Roller tournament, but he is currently a little down from his starting stack on around 25,000.

Finally, Finland's Jorma Nuutinen got the better of Corey Hochman in a three-bet pot where the Finn was the preflop aggressor. Hochman called from 1500 to 4,600 to see a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but couldn't continue when Nuutinen c-bet 3600. With 45,0000, Nuutinen looks to be building momentum ahead of the final level of the night.
