Once Upon A Double-Up for Loon

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Having been moved to the outer table to balance the field, Lun Loon was shipped a full double for eight blinds. His AQ had missed the board of 106335 but that was still good enough, as Eng Siang Ewe paid him off to drop just below Loon on the leaderboard.

Edoc on the Ropes After Doubling Doddapaneni

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Lester Edoc got it in with the 99 only for Sriharsha Doddapaneni to reveal his QQ. The two suits were covered and Doddapaneni stayed ahead all the way on the J84AK board to leave Edoc very short.

Doddapaneni Loses Big Pot to Ewe

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Sriharsha Doddapaneni

Sriharsha Doddapaneni limped in the KK and Eng Soon Ewe raised to 150,000 only for the Indian to limp-raise to 400,000. Ewe called with the AJ and they checked the K85 flop. After the 7 turn, Doddapaneni check-called for 200,000 and checked again the 4 on the river.

Ewe then bet 600,000 and Doddapaneni tanked for a long time and lost several time bank extensions to then make the crying call. He was shown the nuts and dropped to a very short stack once again. Lester Edoc has also vanished from the same table as the field was reduced to 12 hopefuls.

Gary Thompson had chipped up to more than two million while Eng Siang Ewe dropped to fewer than ten blinds. The open-raise to 100,000 by Thompson led to the shove of Ewe on the button for 415,000 and the Irishman sighed before calling.

Eng Siang Ewe: 22
Gary Thompson: A8

The deuces prevailed and made a full house on the J105J2 board, as Ewe remained in contention.

Second Break With 12 Players Remaining

Level 17 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

No major action happened in the last minutes on the outer table.

The last pot was awarded to Takashi Ogura when he raised from under the gun and Danny Tang defended the big blind. They checked all the way to the 9724Q river, on which no betting action took place either.

Tang announced king-high but mucked when Ogura tabled his KJ.

The remaining 12 players have been sent on a scheduled 15-minute break, and the final table is approaching rapidly.

Ajitpal Singh jammed three hands in a row to build his stack again and then took on William Teoh in the late stages of the level.

Singh had the JJ and flat-called Teoh's raise to 110,000 with the latter holding 99. The 866 flop was checked by Singh, who then jammed for 970,000 over a bet worth 250,000.

Teoh reluctantly called and the Q turn as well as 7 river sent Teoh to a short stack.
